I live in a totalitarian Islamic society (an everyday experience) and I have understood this reality for a long time. To put the same people in power that were already part of a regime to establish democracy just doesn't make sense to me. I wish to hear from the real opposition, not someone that has the seal of approval of the current U.S. government and the parts of the Iranian diaspora that fled Iran immediately when the Islamic revolution took place. In my view those were no victims. Those Persians of Beverly Hills. They were certainly not "normal" cititzens in Iran prior to the revolution. I don't believe for one second that the majority of people in Iran want the son of the Shah back in power, despite all the pictures that show people waving Pahlevi portraits.
