peter Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I think he’s the one that posted the red heel — or one of them, anyway. Though it may have been revealed he was just re-sharing what one M-Infinity user posted in his private server he set up.

ConfessYourself Posted February 3 Posted February 3 She's a billionaire, she can play dress up any day of her life… She just wanted to look c*nty to promote Thief of Hearts and I'm so glad she's jumping on the trend on time and not two weeks late this time!
robster Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 The hair and make-up seems similar to the TikTok she recently posted. Could these be videos made during a recent photo or video shoot?!

Mario Lopez Posted February 3 Posted February 3 21 hours ago, bardo said: the version being used in the new trailers sounds slightly re-mixed (and obviously edited to fit the trailers) but it's not significantly different. i don't see why the producers would need or want to "differentiate" between its use in the two films. it's a classic song and needs no tweaking. LAP needed a new mix because it was being used for an action scene, which honestly never made much sense to me. i think there's enough evidence to suggest there could be a new song tied to the film in some way. if not, i'll be curious to find out what the "good reason" for pushing the single/album back to spring/summer was. i sincerely hope it's not another D&G "global audience" situation. What do you mean by, "I sincerely hope it's not another D&G 'global audience' situation."?
Anne Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Posted on UKMix forum by member wave: "Where are these references saying this new Confessions is a disco album? Cause someone has listened to a good chunk of the album and its more like 90s sounds than anything else." "4 or 5 tracks have been pitched or whatever its called these days to 3 major record retailer bosses. HMV UK being one of them, wouldn't be al surprised if one or more tracks soon becomes available online." So maybe the rumors there was a listening party of the album at the label this week were true.
peter Posted February 3 Posted February 3 49 minutes ago, bardo said: it's pretty obvious they did more than simply license the song for the trailer because it's been re-mixed . i don't think they'd be allowed to do that unless madonna personally signed off and there's some other connection to the film, even if it's just the song itself in the film and not a new song or cameo or whatever. that's just my hunch though. i will eat my COADF CD if the single isn't at least released by Q2. pin this. I tend to agree … not sure if it means new music (although, if some of the rumors are true, thematically there could be a good connection with the film) … but, if nothing else, the creative team for the film has Madonna on their collective mind. Might mean some other involvement from M. Could be nothing, but, as you said, they very clearly needed her full approval for the trailer we’ve seen. And last time around, she was able to leverage that to her advantage. Who knows? Maybe they approached her for a song — maybe it’ll be a one-off soundtrack song like we’ve not had in quite a while. If it were to be used in the film or if it were to be the very first sound cue after the credits begin, it would be eligible for an Oscar. (That’s a huge leap/reach, but … why not really speculate while we have no real news to chew on for the moment.) Anyway — sure, people can say there is no evidence. And Vogue may not be used again in the actual film — it may just be for marketing. But, to get their money’s worth, you’d think they would get as much mileage out of it as they could. (Though, I’d caution that if they recycle Vogue, the sequence really needs to deliver. It would be hard to one-up the original’s transformation sequence.) And since Madonna parlayed an opportunity out of their usage last time, I’d be surprised if she didn’t work a similar deal with the sequel. I think they know how well it worked last time — listening to the DVD commentary etc. They know Madonna’s presence musically elevated the film. So I think they appreciate her and would want to work with her again if they could manage it. Just guessing and supposing. I won’t be crushed if it all is a nothing burger. But I don’t think it would be a bad tactic in the overall marketing strategy. And there is more than enough visible at the moment to suggest there is some slight possibility. The door is ajar, if not wide open, at least. PS - hope you don’t have to eat that CD! (didn’t you also promise nudes under certain circumstances? @Confessit, did you bookmark that, too?)
peter Posted February 3 Posted February 3 6 minutes ago, Mario Lopez said: What do you mean by, "I sincerely hope it's not another D&G 'global audience' situation."? The way the D&G ad was hinted to us first by an insider — DazedMadonna of Infinity — he used three emojis, talked about “Early Winter,” and mentioned a “worldwide audience.” This was all in relation to the fragrance campaign, as it turned out. Some feel the rumor oversold the actual impact (although I’d say the campaign is still rolling out, as new store displays are installed and people are seeing the commercial online and on television now, so … it wasn’t an “everywhere, all at once” type of thing). Anyway — I think the point was — the rumors that *may* have been pointing to the film could end up being something else. (Or just, what we already have — which is Vogue in two teaser/trailer marketing pieces for the film. Which really isn’t connected to the new album, so it would be weird for the album timing to be aligned in any way with the film release if Vogue is the only connection.) Now, the insider could be fake or could be wrong (plans could change) … but … I think his point was that he’s hoping the insider hasn’t oversold (and thus will underdeliver) on the DWP2 possibility.

bard Posted February 3 Posted February 3 14 minutes ago, Mario Lopez said: What do you mean by, "I sincerely hope it's not another D&G 'global audience' situation."? what peter just said. the insider promised her music would reach a "global audience," which led many of us to think possibly the olympics. anything less would have been a disappointment, but this commercial, which has reached practically nobody outside of this forum and some fans of that other lady in italy, was NOT what was described. 9 minutes ago, peter said: I tend to agree … not sure if it means new music (although, if some of the rumors are true, thematically there could be a good connection with the film) … but, if nothing else, the creative team for the film has Madonna on their collective mind. Retail bosses getting to hear albums months before they go on sale ? Does HMV sell any exclusive editions? I know Target has done so in the past in the U.S. (Madame X, for example, I believe.) Not sure if they ever play exclusive material for the execs to seal the deal for an exclusive edition to be sold through a particular retailer…? (Maybe? I have no idea, just speculating.)

Understood. Maybe they are going back to basics and focussing on local promotion actives and raising excitement, something lacking during her Interscope years. 14 minutes ago, peter said: IPS - hope you don’t have to eat that CD! They have been known to absolutely do that’s a thought! It is really the last one standing here in the U.K. in terms of a traditional record shop and they always have huge beautiful displays when new albums go on sale. Madonna enjoyed many over the years they really went to town for her on her release years ago!

HMV sells exclusive vinyl and CD versions of albums just like the editions at Target and FNAC. They have an exclusive 1921 vinyl series.
peter Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Thanks, gents! @Confessit @bardo @JWAD Maybe it’s even as simple as getting them to agree to play a track over their in-store audio system. I can remember back in the day when Best Buy (in the US) still had physical media sales, they’d have new music featured on their in-store system. Who knows if the rumor is true, of course… If some of the insiders were correct, we were supposed to be getting the other Pravo cover this week with a (new?) edit of the D&G ad. Haven’t heard anyone (like RideorDie from one of those other forums — ATRL or PopJustice? — can’t recall which) say it is in the system for digital release this week, so … who knows.

That’s the next big milestone in the world of insiders, all the talk of a 2nd D&G advert with a 2nd Patty cover. Will it happen? Is it true? Did she really give D&G 2 songs/adverts? We will soon find out as day by day we complete this week. If it doesn’t come to anything that undermines the insider I think. What happened to Ragazzo? They have totally disappeared
