I don't know how at this point, with all the debunked rumors in recent weeks, some of you still entertain every shit posted by random accounts just chasing some clout.

I hear you.

But we are now in a situation of the boy who cried wolf because there has been a ton of misleading rumours about the album campaign starting that have proved to be total bullshit.

Even the most gullible fans (and I’m no saint I’ve been sucked into believing stuff as well) won’t believe anymore now until it comes from Madonna/WB.

As was said a few weeks ago we have been through all the rumours and fake info from supposed insiders many times before with each new album. It’s all part of the drama of being a Madonna fan.
We all love her, we all want the new album to be released yesterday and we all want it to be a success. She will release it when she’s good and ready. We just have to be patient. She will deliver I’m sure of it.

Totally babe it’s part of the course of a new Madonna album, I was just replying to the idea of fans being gullible, I do believe by this point there are many fans who were absolutely convinced the album would be happening in Q1 because of insiders that are now totally changing their minds and are starting to understand the album is coming later than expected.

It’s always good to debate what’s coming 😘😘😘

Oh I know, it’s all good.
I don’t think there are as many insiders as there were in the past. I think her team tightened things up after the RH leaks.
I also think she’s being smart and not giving too many details away until nearer the release date.

Very true hun, and Taylor did return to present Beyoncé with her award after she won it the previous year I believe.

But Madonna never did that in 2000 following her wins in 1999, so I don’t think it happens all the time a previous winner comes back to present the same award.

Of course Beyoncé has her new album coming out as well so it’s a chance to start taking about that as well.

wasnt she nominated for Music album in 2000?

She performed in early 2001 — opened the show with Music, and then they gave best pop album to Steely Dan instead.

I don’t think she presented in 2002 … the next time I remember her there was when she wore the hot pink Versace dress and introduced Sting (?) — probably early 2004, I think.

No, she started recording COADF in November 2004 following her completing the Reinvention Tour.

I believe recording sessions took place for the album between November 2004 - July 2005, so 8 months in total, but I believe Madonna was writing for Confessions in September 2004 as soon as the tour wrapped. She was very keen to move on to the next album/era following AL.

But back then, Madonna could/would complete albums in less than a year.

Some of the material on COADF was drawn from demos that were written earlier, though — remnants from the two musical film projects which didn’t enter production. The demo for ILNY, for example, was written with Stuart during RIT. So, yes, album proper began after the tour, but some material was begun prior/during.

That’s right the musical Hello Suckers some of that ended up being the mood board and used for COADF?

I suppose in some ways could we assume a similar principle had taken place for the sequel….Madonna & Stuart were inspired during the Celebration Tour, and early ideas for an album came from it?

So COADF2 could have had its seeds sown as long ago as 2 years now?
