63% disapproval. Worse than Jan. 6. Oh my lmao but he's still too fng high tbh!! 37% isn't that far off from 4 out of 10 (350+ mill. people in the US) still 'approving' of this absolute sustained hellscape shiate lol.

Well done American voters.  What a great result and hopefully the start of a true progressive Democratic party.

Exactly. The only way one can stop this authoritarian party and wannabe fascist orange asshole is through checks and balances; which is why the democrats must win back the house (even better also the senate) next year in the midterms.

Last night was the first time I've felt hope in a year. Great day to be a Democrat! What a sweep.

IF anything like the same energy is maintained from last night in 2026 Dems absolutely will easily also take back the Senate too. Of course the US media is crazed & fixated mostly on just NYC but what's being *under reported are all the DEEP ruby red states/Maga areas that got trounced and flipped blue. But glad the NJ and especially VA Governor races are also getting decent coverage because the woman who ran in dark purple VA got the best #s there in 40 years. 15+ points and almost 60%. Crazy lol. I could absolutely see her on a Presidential ticket in the next cycle or 2! She's got IT. Fab. orator and communicator.

Mamdani is going to do a lot of good things for New Yorkers

The only problem for Mamdani is that the legislature in NY state is not that progressive and anything big he wishes to do (like free public transport which he announced during the campaign) must go through them and they won’t allow him I believe. We‘ll see.

THIS. In a report on the radio I heard a few days ago, they explained that some of the stuff he proposed, like increasing taxes for the rich, will most likely not happen because this is a state thing and the current governor is not really in favor of raising taxes.

Just watching CNN and media in the U.S. is truly a lost case. I don't know why they even have anchors there anymore. They have these horrible guests and commentators, especially from the MAGA side, on the shows and they are constantly telling lies, now about Mamdani, and those anchors never stop them or question the things they have just said. What happened to ethics in journalism? But frankly, I don't even know if those anchors are even journalists. They are doing such a disservice to the public, all of this is extremely harmful and they don't even seem to care.

And can we talk about all the staff at the airports that have to work for free. Have to go to food banks to get by. Why do they go to work? You are not getting paid, you are not obligated to work. Where are the unions in this matter? Do they even understand they have a huge amount of power. They could easily end all of this. All they need to do is to threaten to strike, a complete shut down, especially with Thanksgiving travel around the corner. What are they afraid of? Getting fired? They are basically essential workers. Wihtout them, air travel is basically impossible. So, no, highly unlikely they will get fired.

Imagine the same situation in Europe. There would be riots. But wait, nonsense like "government shutdown" does not exist in Europe.

there would be marchs, strikes, and probably riots...but people would go to work even if they are not payed, because I think you can lose your job if you don´t go

not just that : they don't get the money yet, but they will eventually. If they stopped working now, those hours would be ones they’d never get paid for.

Just heard on the news that the U.S. government told their soldiers stationed in Germany to go to the Tafel. Tafel is something like the German equivalent to a food bank. It only provides service to really poor people. The U.S. army has now deleted the information, but the fact that they gave this information in the first place is truly unheard of. Have a foreign nation feed your soldiers because the U.S. cannot get its act together? The report on the news said that the Tafel would even provide food, if some U.S. soldier comes by, although those soldiers are not entitled to their service. How humiliating must that be.

Meanwhile the shutdown will end after 8 Democrat senators voted to pass the GOP CR without getting any concessions from them. Like, what was the point to make governmental workers suffer for 5 weeks during the shutdown if in the end the Dems cave and 20 million people still loose their health insurance. I hope these 8 senators will be primaried if they run for re-election and Chuck Schumer just needs to go the fuck away.

apparently the 8 senators are those that have already indicated they are not seeking re-election, and Schumer was OK with them ending the shutdown while the others can still go to the mid-terms saying they didn't vote for it. But it's all been a mis-play with now everyone saying he needs to go.

Matthew Rettenmund:

Trump's name appears 1,628 times in 20,000 docs released by the Epstein Estate. This is not even the Epstein Files yet.

And one of the emails indicates that Trump sucked off Bill Clinton "Bubba" — and that photos exist. And that Putin may have them.

Soon, we'll have Trump on Truth Social ranting that he never sucked Clinton's dick.
