Sigh!

I guess they didn't read the memo that the US formally recognised Greenland as Danish territory in 1917, when Denmark ceded the Danish West Indies to the US.

Danish territory meaning that Greenland is not a mere piece of real estate, but rather a self-governing part of the Kingdom of Denmark. In essence, Greenland operates as a nation with its own government, while remaining constitutionally tied to Denmark. Should Greenland seek full independence from Denmark, this would require an agreement between the Greenlandic and Danish governments, the consent of both parliaments, and ultimately approval through a referendum in Greenland.

On top of that :
No women. No Palestinians. No Gazans. All men of which 3 are Jewish.

WHAT A FUCKING JOKE.

This is such madness. And such an indictment on how we culturally reward men like Trump all their lives, when they wouldn’t piss on is if we were on fire.

Americans who voted for this clown brought into power unknowingly a parading buffoon and a menace who antagonizes and contributes to chaos.

Unknowingly?

I think this is exactly what they voted for.

I agree.

This isn’t Trumps first rodeo. His behaviour, tyrant approach & dictator attitude is well documented in America & the world.

I cannot except people didn’t know what they were going to get when they cast their votes on the ballot box .

they voted for him to snatch Greenland?  A good chunk of his voters are not that far sighted or forward looking

This is the very moment, most democracies will have a head of state making such spoilt brat comments removed from office. Most parliaments would hold a vote of no confidence and kick such person out. How can one person in power be so embarrassing? He truly does not care about the citizens of the USA, that's for sure

He was already rambling about this back in 2019, so yes!

It’s more that the people who vote for him generally fall in line behind whatever he says, which is often contrary to what he told them in the first place. It lacks intelligence (yes I said it). The other people who support him are just out and out fascists.

And yes, other countries would have a vote of no confidence in a leader that was making war like overtures to a long term ally.

regardless, i don't think the Greenland land grab was the motivating factor to vote for him

I am just wondering, do people, especially the MAGA guys, realize that the USA (together with Russia) is the most hated country in the world and that there are a lot of countries and especially some terror organizations that still have an axe to grind with the USA? Do they understand that with basically no allies, no access to foreign intelligence, the risk of terror attacks in the USA is increasing significantly?

I am at the point where I do believe that many people in the USA are absolutely fine with the warmongering of their administrations because of the simple fact that the USA is a country that does not know what war really means. The destruction, the suffering. Yes, they had the revolutionary war, they had the civil war and they were involved in wars abroad. But the truth is, because of their very priviledged location, far far away (something that is not their achievement) the destruction on U.S. soil, even the loss of life is neglibile (for the lack of a better word -internet says it's roughly 1.3 million) in the grand scheme of things, especially considering there has almost been no loss of life of civilians. If only they would put themselves in the shoes of Europeans, with roughly 100 million deads from WWI and WWII alone and almost complete destruction of entire cities and regions, the last war merely 80 years in the past, they might understand why Europeans react the way they do, when Trump and Co. have imperialistic ambitions. Especially with such ease, as if it's the most normal thing to threat foreign countries with invasion, especially an ally. The fact, that there seems to be no real resistance, from politicians, media, "normal" people, is even more confusing. "Home of the free, home of the brave"? What a fucking joke.

End of rant.

Since hardly anyone ever openly admits to being a warmongerer or a racist, they will most certainly never say it. Not a good look. Although, in recent times, it has become kinda "en vogue", to be more open about it. Anyway, wasn't it all because of too high costs of groceries (you know, the term Trump believes he invented) and of course the trillions of undocumented immigrants Biden let in. All of them, criminals, rapists, sex traffickers, people from asylumns (as Trump likes to refer to them) that need to be deported. Well, one year later, they got none of what they voted for. Inflation is increasing, the number of people (hardly any criminals) deported is below the numbers Biden had deported (and this quietly), as far as I understood. It is all too obvious they have been lied to (and they knew that before because people were telling them even before the elections, that all of Trumps promises are bullshit) but is there some kind of enlightenment? No. Instead of admitting they made the wrong decision, they will double down and pretend everything is fine. Or will be in five years. Something I have heard from Trumps very own administration. All his so called policies and reforms will need years to turn into something positive. Now they will even pretend Trump never said things like "on day one". But of course, the "other side" is suffering from Trump derangement syndrome.

Such a PERFECT post. Thank you.

I'm sorry but I have always thought that that is why the 9/11 attacks continue to be so mawkishly tributed and memorialized, year after year after year, with the average flyover state American acting like it was the worst event in human history. Hand over heart and singing "God Bless America", all the while cheering on Trump's warmongering Truth Social posts that threaten everything from displacement, to annexation, to all-out battle, in other countries. It's outrageous. At the end of the day, the average American has never faced any real strife when it comes to war, and it shows. Loss of life, especially due to terrorism, is unconscionable, and what happened on September 11 remains horrific. But to many nations, 3000 people dying would be a blip on the radar. Iran just lost 15,000.

Okay, his so called Board of Peace is actually hilarious. That is a club no sane person wants to be part of. The bunch of people on this stage. Most of them, have an interesting idea of peace. What a shitshow.

And of course, Victor Orban is there. One can only hope the people of Hungary finally come to their senses and vote him out and bring him to court for corruption.

And again, Trump bragging about his false achievements. All the imaginary investements, all the imaginary wars he ended. Remember he ended wars, no one even knew about and wars that hadn't even started.
