I hope he wasn’t joking, I hope he was referencing Madonna (I’m 90% sure since I know a few more details) yet I noted the songs he played.

I saw a tweet from a M fan account that said “Yes, Madonna and Lorde…” but I thought it was the usual fan fiction that we're used to. 
The final emojis point at something happening on her birthday. This year it's saturday, right? Maybe a single on the day prior, friday, as new music is usually released that day (being extremely hopeful).

She’s not my sort of thing either. I hated that royal song, it was huge though and got played everywhere but I found it annoying nonsense. 

If true I am surprised, she’s very mellow and indie and I wouldn’t have picked her out to be a feature on the album if it’s going for house music ect.

Has Madonna ever said she is a fan of Lorde?

David Bowie adored her.

I am still anticipating a garage study #2 clip on her IG  

Or maybe she has forgot she did garage study #1 now….? I thought we would get a series of them every day or something….

Apparently most of these people are connected with Madonna in some capacity:

Marcelo Gutierrez was the guy who took the white suit photo at the MET this year.

Luigi Murenu did the MX Vanity Fair cover.

Lyas did the house tour thing.

Desmond Napolis is an LGBTQIA activist who performed vogue at age 11. 

Could this guy be on to something? Or just someone with entirely too much time on their hands?

Omg, that was everywhere, and (like you) I couldn't stand it either and still don't. Apart from that I couldn't name a single song by that girl.

Yeh hun believe it or not, Bowie was a massive fan of Lorde and even said she was the future of music.

Lorde was also personally invited by Bowies family to perform at the BRITS a tribute to him following his death.

It’s not for me although tastes are different, I don’t believe it based on what we know thus far anyways, but of course I will listen with intent !!

Lorde is an interesting rumour/choice. Not someone I particularly love as an artist o that I envision for a Madonna dance house album, but she is talented. A bit hit or miss for me, but when she hits it, she really hits it. Also, I think she is a more talented songwriter than a singer/performer, so if she is mainly helping on than aspect, it will be more than welcomed.

She is talented and her lyrics are pretty good (better than some of the writers M has worked with in recent years) introspective and simultaneously mundane. Hammer from her last album virgin has a cool dance beat. Her album got generally positive reviews.

As much as I want a new M album … between the rumors about Beyoncé and the announcement from T Swift tonight … maybe it’s just fine if M waits until Q1 of 2026. Give us the Untold Chapter of Bedtime Stories in the fall and we should be content with that to enjoy until the new album comes.
