Would they be so stupid to release a new album in November when they have just announced Veronica Electronica - Clear Edition and CD for October? Potentially The Untold Chapter is still waiting in the wings 🤞

I still gather the new album won’t drop before 2026.

I can’t see the BS vanishing EP happening this year now, can you ?

I think that project is definitely shelved until next year at the earliest.

I think a new single might be round the corner to commemorate the 20th anniversary of COADF.

But I still think the full album will be released in the spring next year.

Hopefully they’ll be a solid 6 month promotional period before it.

Madonna looks absolutely incredible on her latest post, but I don’t think we have quite arrived at music video shoots yet I think she is dressing up and teasing which is fabulous!!

but we all know that's just for the fans. it's not going to make any noise whatsoever. and i highly doubt both a studio album and BS will come before the end of the year. one at most.

this is the scariest thing i've read all day. single in the fall following by album in the spring would be top 3 dumbest thing she's ever done. and 6 months of promo before an album is also a disaster. just NO.

I think 3 single drops leading up to the actual album dropping is a great idea.

If it’s pitched right. Drop some remixes, make some appearances, do some Q&As, slow burn it, build up the hype.

Why not?

I think it’s just as probable she will drop multiple singles ahead of the albums release in spring 2026, as it is a big lead single and the album dropping in November.

Either way, a slow burn or a ton of activity a Madonna return to music is bound to cause a lot of traction so capitalising on it is the most important thing.

Cant wait to hear Madonna’s insatiable take on what is now becoming very clear her tribute to House Dance music.

i don't see three pre-release singles happening. as you and others have pointed out, she will likely follow a traditional release strategy. although i do think a surprise drop would be a good idea at this point in her career.

That’s true.

I do think your theory of a surprise drop and then going out to promote it could absolutely work as well!

We shall see!

But I still think the lead single could absolutely be released at least a month or 2 months before the album dropping.

Surly they are going to have the album on pre-order for at least 2 months as standard anyways ?

Has to be related to the album. She's even got the Farrah Fawcett hair like she did for Confessions.

I also thought the hair was reminiscent of COADF just without the ginger!

yeah, but fall single and spring album would be almost as disastrous as the RH rollout.

Lots of artists release multiple singles ahead of albums in today’s market though?

It generates hype and anticipation for the album, surly ?

I don’t see why Madonna wouldn’t benefit from that same strategy….?

After all, this is a chance to win round some new fans if she is going for house music as the main sound. Her new album has the chance to penetrate in many people’s playlists that would normally never go anywhere near a Madonna album

What better way than to tease the album with a few singles before dropping it?

Especially if they are amazing singles….

She kinda did a surprise drop back in the day…I was ready for WTP from TB or any other song from the album and boom radio said here is a brand new song from M called WTG

I’m in 2 minds about a surprise drop over multiple singles.

I think both can work.

A surprise drop is great, as long as there’s a strong campaign to come afterwards, otherwise the album will be dead and buried and stay there.

I favour a few singles coming beforehand, personally.

but doing it with the holidays right in the middle will kill momentum. even dua lipa, who was at her peak and much more bankable than madonna today, couldn't pull it off.

I was 34 when Madonna released her last album. I'm going to be 40 when the new one comes out. I'm wrinkled, my body hurts. I live in a different country. WTF.

I hear you.

Do you think (if the album is ready) she should follow the same pattern as COADF, big lead single in October followed closely by the album in November?

That way it avoids the holiday season.

I mean if she has another super dooper lead single like HU on her hands, that would be enough of an amazing launch 😍

She always performs the lead single somewhere I mean would she entertain using the MTV Europe music awards to launch the new album like she did with COADF 20 years ago?

I personally thought they’d be more scope of her performing at the Grammys/BRITs in February next year or maybe this will be the first time she won’t do a major award show performance and maybe do something else instead ?

I can’t imagine her avoiding them though because they are so high profile and a way for her to bring the new stuff to the masses.

In the streaming era I think it's more about "it's sold ##" out of the gate as, if I remember correctly, all the accumulated plays from the individual tracks will be included in the album totals. Hence releasing many songs as it's easier to give them individual boosts once the album ia out.

Yeh that’s my understanding as well (If I’m following you correctly),

The days of a big lead single and then the album dropping are very much old fashioned now in that respect.

So maybe a longer album campaign with multiple singles isn’t such a crazy concept.

I mean, if she had some high profile remixes of the singles by someone as notable as The Weeknd that could massively boost the streaming impact of the single, then all of that would get added to the albums big opening week….?

Or have I misunderstood what you are saying completely? (Sorry if I have I am naive when it comes to streaming tactics….)

PS: Am I the only one who wishes she'd give us some proper dancing again in those teasers? This doesn't give me Hung Up. This type of dancing gives me Hung Up on Tokisha.

I’m unsure we will get a HU kind of dance routine again, if we are being realistic.

We didn’t get that sort of routine in The Celebration Tour.

Im not being negative just honest, Madonna can still move brilliantly and better than most half her age, but it’s much more loose now, she is almost 67.

I think any routines for this new era will be looser over tight packed routines.

I think she moves with such intensity though, sexy without even trying, she looks absolutely knock out.🤩

Re: Ghosttown. Pretty but bland. And yes, as generic as mostly all of MDNA.

I think Rebel Heart finished version is more generic than MDNA

She looks beautiful.

Gives me GI2M video vibes.

It may just be a test of some sort — like the polaroid shots of yesteryear — just to see if something works. And then throwing it out on social just because she can, so why not?

Yeah GI2M and Celebration video and also Hard Candy vibes

I wouldn’t put it past them to create a situation in which they would sabotage themselves.
Having said that, I agree that BS and a new studio album won’t drop this year. If we are lucky it will be the one or the other, and if so I would be leaning more towards BSTUC.

Sure she can freestyle, I'm not talking about an Abdul style choreo. But she can freestyle and not look like a drunken aunt at a party trying to twerk and unable to walk on heels.

Well but actually this is how albums are released nowadays. With almost everyone finally on board with streaming, releasing singles after the album drop has become pretty pointless as all of the subsequent singles are doomed to fail unless it's a killer, lead single worthy track.

The standard actually looks exactly like that, release any singles you had in mind first, then drop the album and then promo stops, you can go on tour

She doesn't need to move that much to make a great video
Think about Human Nature, she could pull off that kind of coreography even today

What it takes is a good director (bring back Mondino pleeeeeeeease), some creative ideas and a memorable look

Totally! I feel like it’s been a while since we’ve had a truly iconic Madonna video.
