I agree.
Nobody knows for sure of course.

But many are convinced the album is happening in November and that everything is round the corner…..

I am in that camp. We have seen too much evidence of her working on photo shoots or a video for me to believe that the release isn’t around the corner. For instance, she posted this photo of her fully dressed up, with gorgeous make up and hair and clothing in the background not long after she concluded the tour. The next shot had her with a soup bowl on her boobs (or something like that- I have a quasi-allergic reaction to boobs, so this might cloud my memory lol!). Of course, none of this indicates that the album or first single are being released this year, but it shows she’s been a busy bee for a long time. She wants to wow both us fans and the general public with this record, and I believe she will.

she's always doing photo shoots for one thing or another. and 99% of the time it's not for an album.

i do think the album could still be coming this year but i don't think she or warner have any interest in timing it to the original release. the only timing that matters to them will be what the marketplace dictates based on other major releases, how much lead time they have to do promotion and marketing, manufacture vinyl, etc. if october or december or 2026 makes more sense from a business standpoint, that's what they'll do. trust me when i say that nobody cares about "november" except fans.

 I am in the camp it’s coming next year anyways but I absolutely agree with you I don’t think it was ever cited behind the scenes to come out the COADFs 20th anniversary.

I think the whole Confessions 2 has been taken to literally.

But we shall see.  It wouldn’t surprise me at all if the album isn’t even mixed and fully finished ready to go to the manufacturers to produce yet!

Yes, but that’s precisely why I believe it will be this year. Her birthday always creates a certain buzz, then the anniversary will add even more. Even if it’s just a single, we should get to hear new music soon. And I mean it in the vernacular sense.

I could be mistaken, but the shoot to which you are referring I believe was the Funeral Rites shoot with Klein. Some fans got photo files that contained the meta data — location and date of the shoot — which corresponded with the IG photo you’re talking about. Doesn’t mean there aren’t other shoots we don’t know about, but … the soup photo isn’t connected to anything forthcoming.

What we do know is that she has had some video calls with Mert… which would almost certainly be work related. Whether it would be album shoot, first single video, or “just” a publicity photo shoot … who knows. And we don’t know whether it has happened yet or if they’ve just been planning.

It was a completely different aesthetic. She looked like light blue water summer goddess, so definitely not the same shoot. I thought at the time that it was die a video.

Doubt it's her and I hope that she's not. With Paramount's recent problems due to the merger with Skydance, things are a mess. Even a livestream performance on YouTube or TikTok Live could be managed in a better way.

However her latest post with the MTV neon sign could be, well, a sign of something.

True, but this looked different, more professional. With lots of different outfits in the background, and her drinking soup which suggests to me that it was a full-day thing.

The Funeral Rites shoot in the Brooklyn cemetery was on October 16, 2024. I looked back at our IG threads (two threads ago, the one that closed in November) and we were all discussing the soup photo a few days after that — October 20-something. It was the same shoot. Although she wasn’t wearing a top while she ate, I believe you could see the same necklace she wore in the CR shoot by Klein, so … (It’s hard to demonstrate all this because the images won’t load. I suppose because she archived her IG just before this shoot came out … in March, I believe? Or late February maybe.)

Feel free to hold out hope for something else, but … the soup photo was for the Klein shoot.
