People keep going on about 90s house and every time someone does it, it's basically that tired Robin S sound like Beyonce's Break My Soul. Living For Love also referenced the 90s and that didn't work out great either.

Agree.

And there’s so many other artists to reference and borrow from when it comes to 90’s House music - M People, Black Box, Crystal Waters. It’s frustrating to see that Robin S song get sampled over and over and over again as if it was the only House hit of the 90’s. I love the song, but come on.

Living For Love, as much as I love it, was a 90’s house music by numbers.

With Confessions, she took the disco sound and put a modern twist on it in such a brilliant way. If the creativity really is there with Stuart, perhaps they can do the same with a different genre of music. If that really is what their direction is with this album.

Do we think she'll actually call it Confesssions Part 2, or is she just using that as hype?

My bet is “Confessions” of/on something else.

I personally think it worked fabulously in the demo and was remixed and sucked of it's soul and sass.

If it is a sequel it would be cool to see it set in a different decade. Almost like a movie. The first confessions album had such a distinct aesthetic that it would be interesting to see it replicated in another time frame

She defined the 80's and 90's herself so Im not sure those would be good ideas..

She should call it The Immaculate Confessions.

I think she is looking for the Dua album sound..the future disco thing... after all she was part of it with the levitating remix..which is a modern redo of confessions...Stuart is a big sound producer ..which could be really positive and very far from the trap tired production that she has been using since rebel heart..

Hope its similar to Future Nostalgia, which was pretty much COADF done 15 years after. COADF was better, but FN is very good too. I love both albums so I cant wait for the next album to sound like both of them!

as long there are not forced collaboration with random artists not related to her catalog it will be fine..

With the threat of trump banning the pride flag at public places and possibly Pride, wouldn't it be great if Madonna (and perhaps other gay icons) got together and made their own pride party? would be nice to see this combined with a possible new song

It would probably be labelled as exploitative if she premiered her new song. I m up for it though. Good idea

tbh I didn't really know where else to post this random thought, so just used the thread :p But honestly, I agree. not premiering a new song, but maybe a few weeks before or after.. but hey, even if there's no new music ready yet, it's still a nice way to support the community

Since the BS re-release is now a thing, I suspect we will get that in the spring and the new album in the fall. No way will she want to put them out within the same time frame

This is exactly what I can see for 2025.

Bedtime Stories EP leading to a full complete reissue wider release this summer.

Then the fall will be a new era and new album.

She's been doing stuff for Pride for quite some years now: the NY video, FEL Release, her appearance at that vogueing contest under a bridge, etc.

It wouldn't surprise me if she releases the first single on june.

Oh wow.

If it’s true it must be closer than we thought she wouldn’t risk exposure of it would she?

Probably fake news but if it IS true there’s no way she’d do such a thing if it wasn’t going to be released in the near term future.

https://pagesix.com/2025/02/18/entertainment/madonna-and-kids-preview-forthcoming-album-at-chris-rocks-60th-birthday-party/

Madonna previews forthcoming album at Chris Rock’s 60th birthday bash with help from her kids: ‘A family affair'

Chris Rock’s star-studded 60th birthday bash doubled as a “family affair” for Madonna, Page Six is told exclusively.

A spy spills that the Queen of Pop, 66, previewed her forthcoming album, “Confessions Part 2” — a follow-up to her Grammy-winning 2005 album, “Confessions on a Dance Floor” — with the help of three of her six children while celebrating the comedian at Crane Club in New York City.

We’re told Madonna’s eldest daughter, 28-year-old Lourdes Leon, sang, while her eldest son, 24-year-old Rocco Ritchie, deejayed.

One of her 12-year-old twin girls Estere Ciccone also created a mix, our insider shares.

We’re told Carlos Leon, Lourdes’ father, dropped in at the end of the night and “seemed to get along well with Madonna,” who is “very proud of his new projects.”

A second source reveals that the evening began with Amy Schumer introducing Beck, who went on to perform some of his well-known tracks.

Though it’s unclear whether Madonna’s boyfriend, 28-year-old Akeem Morris, was by her side for the festivities, we’re told the Grammy winner and Schumer “seemed to be especially enjoying each other’s company.”

I assume that’s a pretty strong indication then that all of her kids have been involved in the making of the album. Given that they were all part of her tour, I don’t think we should be too surprised. Did anyone of you fellow obsessed fans find out whether Rocco‘s NYE dj set featured any unknown songs? Maybe Rocco already played some Melodie’s there and then.

And even if true, may I remind everyone that Dark Ballet was previewed an entire year before MX dropped. Not that Confessed Again will necessarily be released next year but I wouldn’t use that alleged preview as an indicator that the album is about to be released.

Yes, She has Always done that to test the Waters. E.g. : Stuart with confessions, Timbaland with Four minutes.

Somebody needs to send Lola to vacation in Australia. Far. Far. Far away from Madonna. I'll pay for the trip myself.
