Love the idea that it takes a similar path to Confessions in that it pays homage to an era but it's moved on to 90s house. I also want a continuous mix. I feel like listening to Confessions today but it annoys me I can't listen to the original mixed version on Apple Music!

I've mentioned before but Stuart's work with Romy was really amazing. If there's that combo of beats and emotion and vulnerability I'll be a happy fan. She's certainly had a rough few years which should hopefully make for some interesting introspection alongside the bangers.

This take is excellent. It would be interesting too for her too add some modern sounds into the mix like hyper-pop or industrial. I definitely think there's plenty to say in the confessionals part about her age, near death experience, her brother passing, and the politics of today.

I also personally really liked the dembow remix, the frozen remix, vulgar and sorry remix. I don't think they should feature on the album but could bridge the random era to this one. I would like to see her experiment with more sounds and languages like she did with madame x and confessions too because it's cool to see her think outside the box.

High time for the people of the world to collectively dance and sing and get wild doing their thing.

Interesting idea.

I’m not sure she would roll out a tour part 2/anniversary

I mean the Confessions Tour belongs to 2006. Those routines, that look I can’t imagine she would want to try and repeat it.

She was 46 for a start. She is now 66.

I think the new album will be cut from the same cloth as COADF but I don’t think we are going to get Hung Up 2025 edition or anything like that.

But I do think it will be an upbeat dance affair.

If there is to be a tour it will showcase the new album not COADF I think ……

The blinds are saying that Hung Up on Tokisha will be on the album to boost its streaming numbers. It will go nr1 immediately

😄

TBF the Celebration Tour gave me a new appreciation for Hung Up on Tokischa but only as an interlude before the REAL version.

Maybe there'll be a bonus track edition with that on it, and another version without it? That would be the version I buy 😄

I´m really curious about what´s going to be with this album. I mean, first album in half a decade, first album after her brother passed away, first album after she nearly passed away, Trump is crazy back in DC...I´m expecting very deep lyrics

I'm curiously but I doubt she will be super political about it and I don't think it will be a straight forward COADF part 2 either .

Maybe you should be on the 'confessions' interlude of the next tour 😉

Any longer with all this waiting… confessions from a nursing home!

We can expect a release in October or beginning of next year. If she is still working on it ... that is the usual timeline.

I still remember it as if it was yesterday.

The music video got a premier on channel 4 here in the UK.

The radio played it daily on every station going. Every club was playing the hell out of it and not just gay clubs!!

It was absolutely everywhere for months on end.

What a time to be a Madonna fan!

It would be nice to experience a new Madonna album against that fall-winter seasonal backdrop again. Yeah, I want it now, but a wait could pay off.

Confessions is one of the few Madonna albums that several of my friends own!

The world just needs to some party bangers. The worst times often create the best music.

The early 80s in the UK were pretty grim but the music scene produced some of the greatest songs of all time.

Yes so many amazing songs were released in the early eighties, in the UK.

I'm really excited for the new Madonna album. Think us long time fans deserve an amazing album and era. 💙

I'm thrilled with her wording in the last post 💜

Also when was the last time she seemingly worked with one person? Confessions. After all these years I'm cautiously optimistic, but this sounds damn promising!

I would love if this album not only brings 90's house music, but a little bit of 90's trance music.

This is also what I've been hoping for and that Instagram post in 2022 where there's a snippet of a trance-influenced song, I hope it ends up on the record

Me too. Real summer vibe. It's the only track I've liked in the last few years.

I think she just feels like the creative process is similar, especially working closely, one-on-one with Stuart again. Stuart was not the only collaborator on COADF, and I expect that to be the case with this project, too… but he was like the main producer to help make a cohesive finished product. (I’d say “executive producer” but we all know M is the executive…)

I kind of hope we will get a continuous mix with this one again, like COADF … and also standalone versions of each track. (For anyone that will buy both, it’s automatically double the sales!)

I doubt she will name the album Confessions Part II… even when she was going to do ROL 2 she was going to call it Veronica Electronica… I don’t think she really ever thinks of something as being that close to the previous project that she dubs it deux. (GHV2 as an exception — it was “just” a GH with nothing “new” on it…)

Just my thoughts. Very excited for what she has in store for us!

The "Confessions 2" line is so unlike her. Definitely raises an eyebrow (not in a bad way though).

The one who prides herself on not repeating herself, no sequels, etc. It's definitely a different path this time...not sure if it's truly a 'part 2', or just a way to drum up hype (which I'm guessing it is). Even her 'legacy/greatest hits' tour wasn't a true GH show, but more so a theatrical/musical biopic played out in concert format. The only issue I can see happening is fans not actually getting the 'Confessions 2' she's teasing, and then throwing a bitch fit. I can just see it... :lmao:

Dare I say (and it's probably unpopular in this fanbase), but I kind of hope we don't get a Confessions 2 in a literal sense...but perhaps more so another dance odyssey exploring a different era/sound, as some have suggested with house/90s/etc. That I'd totally be up for. But I'd also be down for seeing her and Stuart create something entirely new in sound and concept.

I guess we'll see. Exciting times... :confessions:
