New album: Confessions on a Dance Floor Part 2

Regardless of what it’s finally named or the exact style, her referring to it as “part 2” sounds like a confidence in the material..

* Heavy on the bangers (it’s where their combined strength lies)
* Where COADF paid homage to disco, I’d love it if they chronologically moved 20 years up in town and paid homage to House music as the main source of inspiration on this album.
* I’d love a continuous mix/mixtape version
* Stuart knows how to find amazing tracks to sample and how to sample them well so I look forward to some inventive sample uses of classic tracks of the musical style their are paying homage to.
* A complete lack or bare minimum of collabs or features (save that for remixes, special editions, etc)
* Tracks that have time to build, breathe and grow. No TikTok fodder soundbytes!

I think she’s probably joking (not about new music coming but the confessions reference)

if she isn’t, and I suppose there’s a narrative where being so reflective with the tour/biopic etc has made her want to “go back” so it’s possible. But if that’s the case, it’s clear that the biggest 180 in her career is her attitude towards nostalgia and “looking back” from 1982- c.2012 and these days.

I'm not making a value judgement. But the idea that Madonna would ever make a part II of anything used to be considered a joke. I’m very interested in what’s making her tick right now. Are we entering another creative era or are these the years where she’s just throwing stuff at the wall and having fun. I’m excited, but curious.

The next album Is going to be as much a part 2 of COADF, as MX Is part 2 of AL. So take it as it is. There are probably some elements in the songs that remind M of the COADF concept, or conception process.

I’m not sure she would roll out a tour part 2/anniversary 

I mean the Confessions Tour belongs to 2006. Those routines, that look I can’t imagine she would want to try and repeat it.

She was 46 for a start. She is now 66.

I think the new album will be cut from the same cloth as COADF but I don’t think we are going to get Hung Up 2025 edition or anything like that.

But I do think it will be an upbeat dance affair.

If there is to be a tour it will showcase the new album not COADF I think ……

Love the idea that it takes a similar path to Confessions in that it pays homage to an era but it's moved on to 90s house. I also want a continuous mix. I feel like listening to Confessions today but it annoys me I can't listen to the original mixed version on Apple Music!

I've mentioned before but Stuart's work with Romy was really amazing. If there's that combo of beats and emotion and vulnerability I'll be a happy fan. She's certainly had a rough few years which should hopefully make for some interesting introspection alongside the bangers.

Shes setting high expectations among COADF fans..people already expect huge bombastic disco banger as the first single

Will she use another ABBA sample? Who are the other collabrators and most importantly songwriters? Joe Henry, Mirwais, Nile Rodgers? Mike Stent? Rick Nowels? Swedish guys? Orbit?

Shes not writing just with Stuart is she?
