Brand new IG post teasing Confessions part 2, with Future Lovers playing in the background.

What a relief (even if it turns out NOT to be Confessions 2).

Given the current state of affairs, I was worried she'd scrap the whole thing and give us Madame X 2 instead.

Thank the lord!

COADF 2 is exactly what we need!

This is so exciting can’t wait to hear it

Great to hear her talk about making new music, but I kinda hope she's not being literal with 'Confessions Part 2'...

She has never been literal..till now at least.

I d love Coadf part 2, because Coadf is her best album in my book

The other day I was thinking to myself it’s ok if she doesn’t put out new music doesn’t owe us anything now after reading her insta post I’ve melted into a puddle of excitement!!

Ecstatic!!!!!!!!! How bloody exciting!!

….just hoping it’s not gonna be called Confessions Part 2, hopefully she means it’s more of a follow up in a similar dance direction

Exciting! So Stuart is with her and they are recording in NY now, maybe they are using the studio in her Hamptons house.

Put this in the Insta thread but prob better served here... 👇

I may be in the minority but I wouldn't hate it if she called it Confessions Part 2 or if it were a continuation of Confessions in some way. The songs on that album blended together like a DJ's set so from that standpoint, it could work if the first song on this album picked up where Like It Or Not left off. She's NEVER done anything like that in her career so it could be something fresh for her. And since this release is (hopefully) falling 20 years after Confessions, it would be appropriate.

I'm a little biased since I think Confessions is not only one of the best albums she's ever done, but also one of my fave's of all time.

I certainly wouldn't be celebrating a part two of an album if she put something out there about how Madame X is still searching for the truth or some shit like that. :lmao:

I don’t care what it’s called she name it turd dance for all I care! This is just grand return to form for Madonna and could likely be one of her greatest and most successful eras in a long time.

Apart from the album being mainly produced by Stuart and it being a dance one, I don't believe it will a carbon copy of COADF and even less likely it will be named Confessions part 2. I think it's just clickbait to generate hype and talk among pop fans, although this can ultimately backfire her if the results don't match high expectations.

I agree she is using the album to build hype and excitement.

And who can blame her.

Confessions was a monster time for her.

I agree about this. If it isn’t as good as Coadf (very hard to match it because Coadf is one of the best albums of any artist) it could backfire. As much as I would love Coadf part 2, an album in the same style and vein as Coadf, it’s probably a clickbait I d guess. They would probably do dance, but I d guess 90ties one. I do have hopes though, because his work on the Celebration tour was magnificent. It seems the spark is still there, let’s hope for the best!

Remember when she said Madame X would be American Life part 2?

Well, in some ways in kinda was.....  At least I see them as two sides of the same coin.

She can still make dance music conveying political messages. I am sure she will slam Trump's idiocy in a few tracks. She should recruit Mirwais to produce a song or two. I Don't Search I Find was simple but quite effective.

Honestly, she could call it the Fame Monster part 2 for all I care so long as she actually releases some decent music.

That's what I was about to say. As long as there is not too much gimmick/autotune on her voice, I'll be more than happy with anything. ❤️

I'm here for Dance on a Confessions Floor or whatever it's gonna be called.

I’m of the belief that “Confessions” is merely being used in reference and will not be the definitive title. If they are referencing COADF however, what are elements we’d all love to see on the upcoming album?

Here are a few of mine:

* Heavy on the bangers (it’s where their combined strength lies)
* Where COADF paid homage to disco, I’d love it if they chronologically moved 20 years up in town and paid homage to House music as the main source of inspiration on this album.
* I’d love a continuous mix/mixtape version
* Stuart knows how to find amazing tracks to sample and how to sample them well so I look forward to some inventive sample uses of classic tracks of the musical style their are paying homage to.
* A complete lack or bare minimum of collabs or features (save that for remixes, special editions, etc)
* Tracks that have time to build, breathe and grow. No TikTok fodder soundbytes!

Anything I forgot?
