In March 2014 she started to post quotes from lyrics and pictures taken in the studio. The album was supposed to be released in April 2015 but was moved to March because of the leaks. 

First week of July 2011 GuyO posted the news that M was in the studio and that it was the first week recording new music for an upcoming album. MDNA dropped in March 2012, hence my comment that MDNA was finished quicker than what is usual for her. 

Wait... what I meant is in all three cases i mentioned the first time they confirmed new music is on the way I.e. she's in the studio, they did not mention anything about the year of release. So again, since she clearly mentioned 2025, it leads me to believe the tentative plan is already there, and if tentative plan is already there, she is surely not in early but finishing stages of recording.

i don't mind collabs as long as they're with interesting artists who complement her (preferably male) and if the song slaps. i don't mind a good rap verse (doja cat would be cool). and if working with someone like the weeknd gets her back on the radio/charts, i'm all for it.

Both songs are cool, very house and groovy, I remember that LFL had a more house vibe before it was reworked, but it feels like she has this sound in mind and I love that, sound fresh, exciting and uplifting.

Absolutely.

I imagine the lead single will have a feature. I doubt she will just go solo for it but as you say if the song slaps and it’s a dynamic track that will work.

I love how we disagree with each other so fundamentally lol. She knows that her next single will be just her. All the collaborations, including the one with the Weeknd, were meant to keep her in the “public eye”. The entire staging, set list, and pretty much everything about The Celebration Tour shows us that she knows she needs to be in control again. She would never have agreed to such a tour if she hadn’t.

As long as it’s a killer lead single that’s all that counts really.

But I would be very surprised if it isn’t a collaboration. 

Her last 4 lead singles 3 of them were collabs…..

Dolly, although I doubt that would happen. (Not sure if I’d even want it to — I love them both individually but don’t need to push them together unless there’s some organic reason they want to work together.)

Totally agree!

End of the day a brilliant album with Price is all we need and of course will gain praise and acclaim based on its merits.

But if one of her eyes is on the charts and she wants to get some decent traction, then there will be collaborations.

That’s not a bad thing for a song or two!

I agree.. i want a solid album with no collabs though. Not chasing any hits. I don't care if it flops. I dont care about grammys and all these shitty awards. I want a great album that I like.

And Madame X is no worse than American Life. Both are more challenging listens than her other albums and ultimately M is the one that makes the final choices.
