But his mixing of the tour and the opening dj set that he put on Soundcloud gives me strong faith.

She's been working on this a while. I feel like the Inside Madonna shoot could be the cover. I reckon we are in for this in March or April.

To be fair, orbit made it clear that MDNA was rushed and M was working on other things like her clothing line and perfume at the same time. I'm A Sinner is a great song too! 

And Madame X is no worse than American Life. Both are more challenging listens than her other albums and ultimately M is the one that makes the final choices.

Hoping the new album takes some cues from the Romy album Stuart worked on. That had a great mix of beats and emotive lyrics.

the main difference between Stuart and previous M collabs is that the latter were both known for a much more signature style. Stuart has the capability to produce a wide variety of sonic soundscapes yet push the envelope for all of them.

Good point! Another thing is that she seems to be focused and committed on this one. Her collab with Orbit on MDNA was watered down because she rushed through it and wasn't all that invested. The magic of ROL just wasn't there.

On Mirwais, I would argue he is a more diverse producer than he gets credit for. The first thing he brings to most people's mind is the Music/Die Another Day retrofuturistic electro sound but when you dig deeper, Don't Tell Me and Dark Ballet are worlds apart, just to name two examples. But I digress.

And for better or worse she has much more intrinsically personal stuff to talk about over the past couple of years than in the time of Rebel Heart and Madame X which had her going more and more into directions of political activism rather than the deep human experience and universal emotions. With her health scare and the loss of her stepmother and brother I'm guessing mortality and (chosen)family and lust for life will be a common thread through some of the songs on the new album.

Also pretty sure she’s used Dirty Cash as music for a previous reel too. Great song. Maybe it’s a sign of the direction of the album?

As much as I respect Ørbit and enjoy his work with M (some more, some less — but all of it is enjoyable to me) … I think his complaints about MDNA are being viewed a little bit one-sided (or from a biased perspective — like, if a fan doesn’t like MDNA, then they are more receptive to hearing his perspective).

When Ørbit worked with M on ROL, he was the main producer for the whole album, and she brought to him other compositions she had previously created. But I recently heard that Marius was brought in at the end to help finish things up, because they were running out of time, and Ørbit’s process was laborious. So Ørbit may have felt rushed regardless of how much time he had been given.

Secondly, when M worked on MDNA, she was working with others, too — so, her time dedicated to music was also divided among a variety of co-producers: Solveig, Bennassi, and a few others. The amount of time she spent on music may have been the same, Ørbit just saw less of it personally.

And yes she was working on other things during MDNA — her film, the fragrance(s) and other merchandising lines — but also (most time consuming, I’d imagine) planning and rehearsing a Super Bowl performance, and then readying for a massive tour. We’ve discussed in the past that some of her choices artistically on albums post-Warner especially may have been influenced by her vision for presenting certain songs in live performance. We all often agree that some songs vastly improve when performed live on her tours. So some MDNA tracks benefit from this effect, while others left off the set list do not. 

People can hate on MDNA all they want, and they can claim the quality control wasn’t there, but then it’s also possible the material just isn’t to everyone’s tastes. She wasn’t necessarily being lazy or focusing on misplaced priorities. It’s Ørbit’s perception, and that’s valid for his own personal experience and perspective. But M was the one in the studio with *all* the co-producers, with all due respect.

(And finally, she was rushed for RH, too, and eventually she had to stop with the endless iterations of the tracks for that album following the leak… And we have seen how fans are divided about the demos vs. the final versions. Sometimes “more time” does not mean higher quality. The writing/recording of the LAP album was famously fast. We can’t judge everything from that rare historical moment, but it also means M can work quickly and still deliver meaningful and transcendent music. MDNA is no LAP, of course. But I would also say, it was never going to be, even if M spent six more months or a year more working on it. And what? Would we all have sat around watching our copies of WE endlessly? No. We’d have been complaining about how it had been five years since HC instead of four…)

Whatever. We should be celebrating! It is a happy time for us to know new music is coming!

Remember Madonna is a co producer, so if you don't like Mirwais' work or Orbit's, Remember she is the one having the final cut.

I know everyone wants COADF 2, but I love that our girl prides herself on trying to not repeat herself (for the most part). And Stuart is quite versatile...so I'm curious where this is going to go this time around...

Overall, just looking forward to new music period (with whoever she works with). No expectations. Just love.

Yeah, and a movie few people cared about. lol.

MDNA was half baked and could've actually been amazing if they had more time. Having said that, I do enjoy it though.

I love Pearls and didn't realise he'd worked on Romy's songs. If we get something like those, I'd be very happy! 

It would be great if they dropped a song at a club like they did with Hung Up and people weren't sure but they thought it was her. The buzz was amazing!

I’m really hopeful that  Madonna  teaming up with Stuart again  will create magic.
I feel like she has got her mojo back after the success of the CT the great reviews and the fans and general public loving her.  I’m sure that she recognises the reactions and  love that her classic songs received on the CT and it’s inspired her to make another pop masterpiece with her trade mark infectious melodies.
