waidexter Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 I’m totally supporting no collabs/feature artist album. But, there is always a but … Today music landscape without featuring current artist , the exposure of the songs/ album is limited , not to mention at least need to recuperate the cost of making the album. Whether will there be a hit or not, is going to be challenging for Madonna . Hopefully at least the album does a decent sales figure.

I dont care about grammys and all these shitty awards. I want a great album that I like. Would really like a very strong album that I personally enjoy. I also don't care if it doesn't perform as well, but a total flop would suck. Lol

She s surely gonna collaborate with all her children, on November 2025 will be 20yrs since confessions part1

Something you see a lot these days is that artists release the album on their own terms and then later release a special edition or remix edition which is full of collabs. Dua Lipa did it, Ariana Grande, Charli XcX, etc, etc. I could get on board with that. Have a Madonna only album and then 6 months later release a remix or bonus edition with musical guests etc. Could give an already successful or acclaimed album even more legs too.
pithy Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 There's nothing innately wrong with being collaborative, but I think it would be a power move to steer clear of featured artists. It would feel so classic M. She's enough of an attraction on her own.
sara Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 Need her to keep her toy boy away from the whole production. He's starting to annoy me.

Fever Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 I wonder if Stuart talks to her about this stuff - does he give his opinion on her recent music and advise a direction? Could he give it to her straight?? I wonder if he ever references her recent stuff when they’re writing and producing together. Would love to be a fly on the wall.

From the bits and blips we have seen of them in the studio I think Stuart is confident enough to speak his mind and give her pushback and I think she wouldn't want it any other way from her collaborators. She wants to be pushed, not someone to kiss her ass or smooth talk. And even though she is the queen I think she truly and deeply feels like an equal when collaborating with people. Best idea wins type of deal.

cardiganstarlet Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 I’d love to see a Stuart treatment of this:
ashtangi74 Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 I think she has doone these features the last decade hoping it would increase her chances of scoring a hit. If she is still interested in the charts there will be 'featuring ....'.

Hmm that’s also a good strategy (means I have to fork out more on her album .. ) Will Madonna able to succeed following those young artist as you mentioned , we shall see …. I would Iove a solo song that would be a hit but based on her age the exposure will be limited unless she commits to payola. Mary J Blige released a new album after a Grammy nominated one and it didn’t chart on the BB200 first of her career…her singles featured artists from her hey day but nada…she’s still going to tour but a GH tour. I k ow I know they are not the same but it’s very possible and regardless of whether we love it it will be deemed a colossal flop across the globe.
sara Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 I don't know why some fans are against another The Weeknd collabo or even the idea of him working on M15. Popular was one of the best things she did since maybe Masterpiece.

Any collaboration would turn into the big The Weeknd show and we've had a song and that's all I need from him in the foreseeable future. NEXT! There's many more interesting people she could potentially collab with.
elijah Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 A real dance collaboration with The Weeknd on her album would turn gold. I wouldn’t mind 4-5 duet songs with him, produced by M, The Weeknd and Price.

If it was more of a grass roots Weeknd with his signature retro sounds that would work. Not a load more Popular sounding songs!
VictorMarques Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 A dance song with wither The Weeknd or Sabrina Carpenter would put Madonna on the trail for streamings, genZ and charts. It's a wise decision.
AlvaroLiam Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 She's getting into full Confessions mode on her IG Stories
DreamTheater Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 I would love a collaboration with a top streaming artist, but on their own album, not hers. It's telling that the one collab that smashed was in The Weeknd's project and his label pushed it at streaming. For her own album I would prefer a solo lead single and no collaborations or at least only with artists that fit to her own style.

"best" meaning it charted? because it's certainly not better than most of RH or MX. if i never have to hear it again, i'd be perfectly happy. is basic 2000s-sounding R&B really what we want from madonna now?

Shot by Luigi and Iango… I think the images appeared in … German Vogue, was it? But there were videos released online, too. The YouTube upload is dated 2017, but that might have been on a delay if it was exclusive to the publication first. There was a series of videos — maybe five of them? All black and white.
