SOON Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 This is one of the most powerful hurricanes ever recorded. It was a category 5 (175 mph) in the Gulf of Mexico and is now category 4 (155mph) as it approaches Florida. It will either weaken to category 3 or category 4 when it reaches Florida’s west coast tonight which is still very bad. Massive damage is expected. Hoping Mnation forum members in Florida are safe and secure! Quote
runa Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 ^ people are so cruel, this is crazy, Hope everyone is safe! Quote
SOON Posted October 10, 2024 Author Posted October 10, 2024 It weakened to category 1 (90mph) when it reached Florida tonight and will weaken more as it passes through. Hopefully everyone there is alright. 90mph is still pretty rough. When Hurricane Sandy hit NYC in 2012 it was 75mph and caused many billions of dollars in damage. Quote
