I disagree. I don't like the tracklist as it is, I am free to change it as I see fit. I don't find it disrespectful to change it.

Exactly.

I’m constantly switching up track lists from albums that already have perfect sequencing. The idea that this an OMG A COMPLETELY UNTOUCHABLE ALBUM PLS LEAVE IT HOW SHE INTENDED IT is laughable.

Agreed. And I rarely have the energy to sit through 15 songs (or 18 if you count the bonus tracks) so I have to do some trimming.

Agreed, the albums flows perfectly from start to finish for me, I couldn't imagine it any other way, except maybe the inclusion of Ciao Bella. Where as, I struggled listening to Rebel Heart track list, as it's so uneven and jarring, I could never perfect that ideal track list, there'd be good songs left off purely because they didn't "fit the vibe", and I'd feel bad for leaving them off.

@stevo208: "Funana" fits nicely between "Bitch I'm Loca" and "I Don't Search I Find". So yes, that's where I'm gonna locate the song. :smoke: "Back That Up" isn't needed at all.

So this is my Madame X

01. "Medellín"
02. "Dark Ballet"
03. "God Control"
04. "Future"
05. "Batuka"
06. "Killers Who Are Partying"
07. "Crave"
08. "Come Alive"
09. "Extreme Occident"
10. "Faz Gostoso"
11. "Bitch I'm Loca"
12. "Funana"
13. "I Don't Search I Find"
14. "Looking for Mercy"
15. "I Rise"
16. "Ciao Bella"

Actually this is the first album since confessions that the order of tracks is perfect, it obvious that alot of thought was put into the order of the tracks. I can't immagine changing the order.

Ditto.  I actually prefer the Standard album version, but love all the bonus tracks all together.

1. Extreme Occident

2. Looking For Mercy

3. Funana

4. Back That Up To The Beat

5. Ciao, Bello

6. Soltera (which I consider a Madame X track, anyways!)

Its not hard to compile my Madame X tracklist. I’m into all her experimental songs, especially those frome Mirwais, don’t care any of the basic pop in this album.

So below is my list:

1. Medellin

2. Dark Ballet

3. God Control

4. Future

5. Killers Who Are Partying

6. Crave

7. Crazy

8. Extreme Occident

9. I Don't Search I Find

10. Looking For Mercy

11. I Rise

Many would assert that "Come Alive" is THE clear sonical sister of that awful BADI SHAP thing, but I have no reason to dislike it.

"Come Alive" is a relaxing Mediterranean-sounding ditty which functions as a "rest station" of the intense Madame X journey. It's a gorgeous spot which allows listeners to take deep breaths before continuing the ride. "Crazy" on the other hand is a whiny, uptight, irritating piece of dross. The song has this peculiar personality which reeks of an unpleasant, not-so-bright co-worker who hates everything that you love and probably doesn't even know where Cambodia is. You want to get rid of it.

And after having watched the 23-minute docco, I hate the song even more. "Crazy" is an annoying high school / college bullshit and one of the worst parts about it is the lame nod to LAP. It's a Jason Mraz's song infiltrating M's discography. :vomit:

Dark Ballet

X-Static Process

Killers Who Are Partying

Nothing Fails

Love Profusion

Intervention

I really like the order of tracks, especially the middle of the album, but “Medellín” is way out of place leading into “Dark Ballet” and “God Control.” Such a jarring transition.

I have a feeling the tour will open with “God Control” so...:

1. God Control

2. Dark Ballet

3. Future

4. Batuka

5. 🤢

6. Crave

7. Crazy

8. Medellín

9. Come Alive

10. Faz Gostoso

11. Bitch I’m Loca

12. Looking for Mercy

13. I Rise

Really don’t know what to do with “IDSIF” either.

I know you’re kidding, but on a serious note, “Crazy,” for me, is about drawing a boundary with someone you’re dating who likes to play games with your head and heart. It’s about self-protection. I really like that theme.

I didn't really changed it, I just included the bonus tracks and Soltera.

Medellín

Dark Ballet

God Control

Future

Batuka

Killers Who Are Partying

Crave

Crazy

Funana

Come Alive

Extreme Occident

Faz Gostoso

Back That Up To The Beat

Soltera

Bitch I'm Loca

I Don't Search I Find

Looking For Mercy

I Rise

Ciao Bella

However, I love the flow of the standard version so much, so sometimes I remove Funana, Extreme Occident and Looking For Mercy. I love each of these songs, but they do slow down the flow of the tracklist.

I love the album very much like it is but the beginning is messy and it’s too long. I think it could’ve been kept tighter without loosing the overall vision. Here it goes:

1. GOD CONTROL

2. FUTURE

3. BATUKA

4. KILLERS WHO ARE PARTYING

5. CRAVE

6. CRAZY

7. MEDELLÍN

8. FAZ GOSTOSO

9. COME ALIVE

10. LOOKING FOR MERCY

11. I DON’T SEARCH I FIND

After listening to the album for a month, I started altering a little bit the track list here and other - just to keep it fresh and exciting. I do think that Medellin shouldnt have been the opening track (I do think that it is a great choice for the first single though). She should have opened the album with Dark Ballet in my opinion, but she has her reasons I suppose.

I really like the way the tracks flow in this order and I created the playlist on Spotify too (without the limited edition tracks since they are not available YET - I hope):

  1. Dark Ballet
  2. God Control
  3. Batuka
  4. Killers Who Are Partying
  5. Extreme Occident
  6. Ciao Bella
  7. Medellin
  8. Back That Up To The Beat
  9. Crazy
  10. Crave
  11. Faz Gostoso
  12. I Dont Search I Find
  13. Looking For Mercy
  14. Future
  15. I Rise

Bonus Tracks:

  1. Funana
  2. Come Alive

Aren't we allowed to discuss? is it a crime to create your own playlist and add tracks the way you want?

you're overreacting a little bit.... 🙂
