I've heard it on the radio today, they were talking about her performance and saying that she's carrying Portugal on her shoulders and that we should be greatful to her, they were basic saying only good things about her and that we should all adore her. It was even a bit funny, because they almost said 'you should all bow down to the Queen'.

I live in Portugal

This is awesome to hear. I'm Portuguese too, but live abroad, so it's great to hear my home country is giving M lots of love.

Well, I hope to hear more influences from Portugal on this album. 😊

It's a bit strange in Germany. There seems to be little interest in Medellin. Doesn't make sense to me cause there are many songs with latin influences which are very succesful.

Medellín is #20 on UK airplay chart

I haven't heard it anywhere! I'm in the car often and tune into Capital, Radio 1, Eagle (my local), Kiss among others but not heard it at all.

All I keep hearing about is bloody Suzanna Reid, or however you spell her name

Up to 12 in the airplay chart in Italy.

I was in Florence on tuesday and I heard Medellin in a shop. Im from the United States so to hear a new Madonna song on the radio is like a euphoric experience.

Thank god here radios never stopped playing her. Our radio stations are also quite loyals to our older legends.

Do we know the peak for MDNA and RH singles on the UK airplay chart? Not the official singles one, the actual airplay chart

We are still  weeks out from radio play in USA... can't wait to hear Crave on the radio!!!

According to President of Maverick Music Greg Thompson:

"To that end, “Crave” with Swae Lee will become the de facto pop radio single upon its release, with an official music video to soon follow. Meanwhile, “Medellín” -- which received a global television launch across Viacom networks in April -- will continue being pushed in Latin markets. The decision to lead with “Medellín” instead of “Crave” came down to the belief that it was “the signature track to the body of work, and the right place to start telling the story,” says Thompson. He adds, “I think we have a good shot to get a top five club record with some [‘Medellín’] remixes, and get that song into people’s spaces that they might not anticipate.” (Madonna has notched a record 57 top five-charting hits on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart.)

Thank you posting this. This explains why Medellín is getting absolutely no promo effort on U.S. radio. I was about to have a meltdown in the chart forum over the virtually nonexistent U.S. airplay for Medellín. For it to get literally just a few spins in a day out of several thousand radio stations in the country was baffling when her previous singles serviced to U.S. radio that flopped would get at least hundreds of spins around the country. I was wondering why Medellín never had the bare minimum done for it ... an add date wasn’t announced, programmers didn’t receive a promo single, no radio ads for it. They’re saving the radio payola $ for “Crave”! :tigger:

Sounds to me like, they are doing their homework and making sure all markets gets a piece of the album.  Madonna said herself in that Billboard interview that her album is a world album. I think she and her team are targeting markets that still are willing to play her on radio, and then going for others.  As much as some say "Fuck the U.S.", we still know that getting a hit there still plays a huge role in a successful album.  It's her home country, so it would be awesome if she could gain another hit there.

This also explains why Medellín is getting absolutely no promo effort on european radio stations. I was really concerned about the fact that german radio stations bareley play Medellin.

Can't wait for Crave
