The Lady is for U-Turning

She's a mess

She took a gamble and lost it

But refuses to acknowledge it

And it's not just the social care bill backtracking (never mind she kept trotting out her "building a fairer Britain" rethoric since her appointment last July)

It's also the appalling and evasive way she's shown in dealing with Brexit

Happy for Corbyn

Fun fact: the campaign strategists in charge of Theresa May's campaign that led to her majority reduced to a hung parliament, also worked for the major Conservative party in Australia in the 2016 Australian Election, where the party's huge majority in parliament was reduced to just a one seat majority.

Someone get this whore with her pound shop weave out NOW.

How dare her form a government coalition with a party that is anti-human rights? How fucking ridiculous.

She said BEFORE the election that human rights aren't important when you need security. People who voted for her shit on human rights.

Enough already of her.

She ll step down. Mark my words.

And yes reason why Tories failed to get a majority is down to their austerity policies ( mainly cuts in public sectors like school, hospitals, police, etc) and Brexit. May& co talks of hard Brexit didn't go down well in a country which seems to regret Brexit. There was way too much disinformation over Brexit. People went to vote with no clear outcome of the consequences. The other day this man said he thought the country would get richer because they would stop sending money to the EU. lol The divorce bill wasn't mentioned once during the referendum. Millions were promised to the NHS out of EU money. It was a complete shamble and the nasty right winged British tabloids and newspapers were at the centrepiece of the outcome of the referendum. People are starting to wake up. Finally.

Ignorant people are prone to complain instead of being ashamed of no GOOGLING "what's the EU" before voting.

And?

She has lost seats to her party for her own mistakes and her own arrogance

The most obvious one was saying Brexit Means Brexit over and over for months without ever saying anything of actual substance at all

The second major slip was backtracking on the social care bill and being rightly hammered for it in Parliament by the SNP's Angus R, whom she obviously fears because he's able to unmask her

The third one was thinking she'd have an easy gamble in calling a snap general election simply because of the comfortable margin the Torys had with Labour, then

People obviously do not like her approach, pro Brexit or otherwise. The campaign strategists have nothing to do with the outcome

the Tories forming an alliance with the DUP can't happen because it impacts on the neutrality required by the Good Friday Agreement. It becomes a problem if Stormont is still in suspension and direct rule is enforced. Northern Ireland being directly ruled from Westminster with a Conservative/DUP coalition and zero nationalist representatives in the House of Commons contradicts the power-sharing peace process.

If they're the ones responsible for her parroting "strong and stable" and "coalition of chaos" every five minutes, and repeating the same old rehearsed speeches then it was indeed one of the reasons her campaign was so terrible. They've "resigned" today anyway. I mean just look at this shite...

Unfortunately Angus lost his seat at the election due to disgusting Labour and Lib Dems putting up "paper only" candidates in all close-call constituencies including his -  where the Lib Dem 2015 vote fell by 13k on Thursday while the Tory vote rose 15k. No coincidence.

Unionist parties are working together by fielding "paper candidates" in some key SNP constituencies in the general election, STV News has learned.

The move is aimed at ensuring the anti-SNP vote is not split in marginal seats, which could see the Nationalist candidate win in those areas.

Scottish Labour, the Scottish Conservatives and the Scottish Liberal Democrats are fielding contenders in all 59 seats but some will be "paper candidates" - they will appear on the ballot paper but will not be actively campaigning. STV News understands all three parties are deploying the tactic in target areas including Edinburgh South, Edinburgh West, Perth and North Perthshire, East Lothian and Moray. All bar one of these seats, Edinburgh South, was won by the SNP in 2015's general election when they took 56 of Scotland's 59 constituencies.

A senior Conservative source said it was "not a formal arrangement" between the parties but the "reality of the situation" on the ground was they were, in effect, helping each other in certain seats.

The Conservatives are aiming to topple SNP Westminster leader Angus Robertson in Moray, where there is a lack of active campaigning by the Lib Dems and Labour. A similar scenario is playing in Perth and North Perthshire, as well as across most of north east Scotland, with the exception of Aberdeen.

STV News understands Scottish Labour's entire Edinburgh operation is based upon ensuring Ian Murray is re-elected on June 8. A senior party source told STV News the party is heading for fourth place again in Edinburgh West. Labour Candidate Mandy Telford is believed to have been informed she would be receive very little help with her campaign as all resources were being diverted to Murray's.

"This is about defeating the SNP because they are incumbents in the vast majority of seats," the senior Labour source said. "But in the voters' minds clearly many care about the union and many will vote along those lines in SNP marginals and we will benefit from that in some areas."

A Scottish Labour spokesperson said: "Labour is fighting to win as many votes as we can in every single seat in Scotland."

A Lib Dem insider admitted the party was hardly spending a penny in most seats and was instead diverting funds to their top target seats of Edinburgh West and East Dunbartonshire.

An SNP spokesman said: "Voters will be asking whether these parties have any principles left whatsoever. "These nudge-and-wink backroom deals completely take the electorate for granted and are deeply insulting to voters - they show that only the SNP are prepared to stand up for each and every part of Scotland."

Scottish Labour leader faces backlash after urging Scots to vote TORY to keep Sturgeon out

SCOTTISH Labour Party leader Kezia Dugdale faced a stinging backlash after encouraging people north of the border to vote Conservative to prevent an SNP win in Scotland.

Ms Dugdale told voters in the Borders, Highlands and other parts of Scotland that voting Tory was a better way to stop the Scottish National Party than voting for her own party’s candidates. Speaking on Sky News the Scottish politician said: “The reality is the vast majority of seats across Scotland, it’s only the Labour party that can beat the SNP. but there are a few differences in the Borders and the Highlands where the Tories might be better placed"

But the Scottish Labour leader was criticised on social media for her comments.

Cameron Archibald tweeted: "The fact @kezdugdale thinks it's more important to beat the SNP than to actually replace the current Tory government is beyond tragic." While John Fowler‏ also hit out at Ms Dugdale. He tweeted: "I wonder if @kezdugdale has forgotten, that in this election, every non Conservative win, is a win for the people of Scotland?"

Ms Dugdale has said she would not quit even if her party is completely wiped-out in next month’s General Election.

She also suggested the party's UK campaign had been lacklustre so far, rating it as "six or seven" out of 10 and was criticised earlier this year for calling Jeremy Corbyn "un-electable".

Well it is happening.

Instability in Ireland is of no interest to the Tories. All that shite they threw out there about Corbyn and the IRA, and here they are doing a deal with loony Ulster Unionists.

Well ok

Although I had the impression you were trying to say that's the reason why the Tories lost seats and their majority

In that case, anything but

Not ascribable to something as trivial and secondary as that, amid the current circumstanes and May's constant posturing and empty rethoric

Even people who in the referendum voted in favour of leaving the EU want some concrete, tangible answers, if anything, all the more

Oh no

One of the few articulate politicians to discuss REAL issues when it is important to discuss them

He is really great opposite Theresa in Parliament

Yeah that's exactly same stuff from the Conservative's campaign in Australia: "stable government", "innovation and agility", and worst of all "continuity and change".

The DUP now have the power to bring down the UK government if and when it so choses and trigger a General Election if and when it so choses.

This is a threat to the stability in Northern Ireland.

So far Northern Ireland has had 4 public votes in the past year.

It is currently without an executive since January, and another General Election is looming. People in Northern Ireland barely trust democracy as is.

You can only ask people to go to the Ballot box so many times in one year.

:confessions:

Love it !     About time, she finally copped some criticism.

Also laughing my head off at some right wing "Journalists"  .  They defended Donald Trump on his comments about women and blamed "feminists"  but now are preaching and crying over supposed "sexism"  about Theresa May.  Then in the same articles, the call Jeremy Corbyn an illiterate old clown and terrorist sympathiser.  The same journalists who also hate virtually every female entertainer with a passion.  Yet one word against Theresa and they are crying sexism.  Have they forgotten everything they have said about other women for years ? They are raving and raging and I love it.

The only hope for her to go SOON is if the talks with that terrorist sympathiser group she's doing a deal with fails. Votes of no confidence, leadership races etc will be too destabilising for the Tories and possibly lead to another general election which they most definitely don't want, so they'll keep her in place, but she has absolutely no real power anymore and will be dictated to from within.

What I don't understand is why for the past 20 years libel and missinformation isn't punished by law. I mean, you can't publish that Corbyn is a terrorism sympathiser, that's difamation and it's against the law.

Last week some Conservative stupid politician in Spain called the members of the Chambers that belong to a far-left party  "pedophiles". I was appalled. How can they say that and then nothing happens?

I am so disgusted with politics and press right now, I wish I could change and live in another country and work in some rural house rising heifers, to be quite honest.

You talking about tabloids though. Everybody knows it's rubbish and no one would take that seriously. And we all know how nasty people get and they would say anything to shake off the blame, to point fingers and singlehandedly destroy anyone who opposes them.
