2016 American Presidential Thread

Looks like 'whatever' is coming was all perfectly timed because even the media is basically asking/hint hinting what's gonna 'dominate' the news cycle the last 4 days. Seems they're def ready to annihilate him lol. The FBI story def hurt her but its already a week old. Most people are low info and listen to the noise. Absurd that it's that way but to think there's still 'undecideds' or semi on the fence. As bad as both are, should've been decided many months ago. You knew what you were getting from day one. Just don't get it.

true but have a feeling that 2000-2012 map is gonna be more dramatically changed after this election. have this feeling lots of shockers are gonna happen Tues to parallel this fcked up election.

Hm. I think those claims are highly exaggerated. Especially in an election year as polarized as this.

I live in Michigan, one of the states Trump thinks he can flip. Not gonna happen. He can't win without 55% of the Detroit suburbs which simply won't happen.

Repiblicans CAN NOT win statewide races without these suburbs. And Trump isn't a normal republican to the voters in Oakland, McComb, and St. Clair countie.

And let's also be clear about something. He is NOT appealing to Reagan Democrats. That term BEGAN here in Oakland County. Those voters are civil, hard working, proud, level headed voters. This man doesn't represent their values. He represents the values of bigoted, paranoid, rural whites who are perpetually angry.

He may win Ohio and Wisconsin, but he sure as hell won't win Michigan or Wisconsin.

All you whining bitches moaning about the media and journalism, are probably the same people who watch reality tv shows like Kardashians and those stupid fucking housewives of Kentucky and Florida, instead of a David Attenborough documentary.

Face facts, we live in a society that cherishes dumbness ( reality tv, Kylie, Britney, gaga, big W,  housewive shows etc ) and now you want journalists to report intelligent and honest news. What's the point. Hilary and Trump appeal to the lowest common denominators in society, so the media are just doing their job!!!

When America wants news with integrity and honesty, employ 2 presidential candidates who are not dickheads..?

Totally agree, sadly

The establishement has given the American electorate two people who they knew they could count on to give people plenty of distractions from the REAL issues at hand in this day and age: one of the fundamental ones being the truth about what's actually been going on in the Middle East since 9/11. And the fact that the US Government wants the Middle East for its gas and oil resources and wants ALL OF IT.

Trump is a clown who says he is anti establishment when in fact he's one of the biggest products of it. Clinton has her field ready because he makes it very difficult to be taken seriously with all the sexism, racism, xenophobia etc etc. But most people do not understand/don't care that behind Clinton you have the neocons' "Project for a New American Century" brigade and utterly sinister characters such as a certain George Soros. It's always been the same, give people the illusion they have a real choice while a hidden hand controls both choices. Divide And Rule

Also, I am appalled that when you present facts or try to go beyond the narrative of good person vs bad person, good countries vs bad countries a lot of people enact a kind of self-defense mechanism as if going against or at least questioning what is thought to be good or the truth leaves them without certainties. When a healthier approach should always be question everyone/everything, do not stop at the 5 min news bite of repeated corporate news. We live in a society of repeaters, from the education system to all apparatuses of society and the media is the most corrupt repeater of all

Sorry but Trump is far from being the establishement candidate, considering the fact that he won against 11 GOP candidates who were far more "establishement" than him.

Trump is there only thanks to himself. His populism, his big mouth and the fact that 40% of the american people seem to love a stupid orange bigot rapist.

I am talking about the fact that he describes himself as antiestablishment when he's a billionaire, that in itself is the first joke about him in a long list. All I'm saying is that real problems are being sidelined in this discussion to talk about Clinton's emails and his extra marital affairs or the language he uses which is obviously language which is offensive and caricaturesque on purpose.

So once again American debate being lightweight territory in spite of the actual role of primary importance the US has claimed for itself since the end of WW2. My point is that the powers that be want people to get distracted. The tone of this campaign is disgraceful and worthy of the worst soap opera you could imagine. Meanwhile they keep lying (from left to right in equal measure) to people about 9/11, terrorism, the engineered financial crisis and their real roots not least the ultimate purpose they serve

And my point is that if the "powers that be" exist (which I doubt, judging by the complex world we're living in), they didn't choose Trump like you said. He was chosen by voters and he defeated real establishement candidates. In fact, Trump is a threat to the US society and its global leadership, and no "power that be" would chose him.

Finally, someone gets it. Why give America intelligent presidential candidates when Hilary and Donald are the best reality tv program on all the networks. It doesnt cost the networks a single cent, has millions of people ( both rep and dem ) addicted like no other election, and 2 stars only interested in stroking their ego's. The only other times in US election that caused such hysteria was jfk suicide and watergate.

And those losers who keep saying they have news, well then fucking leek it. They are no different to those Madonna fans who tease us mere mortals about a Like A Prayer demo, but are not willing to share it. Oh wow, some f-list journalist can get their 15 minutes of nothing fame.

How in the world is Hillary the best reality TV program? She's bland, boring, lifeless and talks like a robot with no soul.

I despise the woman, but blaming her for the embarrassing, unprofessional MESS that these elections turned out to be is ridiculous. It was 100% Trump's fault and the media who ate it up and welcomed the ratings.

Had the media ignored him from day 1 none of this would be happening. We're literally less than one week away from possibly electing the WORST human being to ever run for President of the United States in the country's entire history.

I was typing a response to the exact post. But you said it perfectly.

This notion from people that this election is some conspiracy cooked up by big money is asinine. The woman's been effectively running for president for 30 years.

He's not a part of any establishment either. He's a part of himself. He has an orgy with his own narcissism and has absolutely caused the freak show that we're calling this election.

Hillary is Hillary. For better or for worse.

The Eichenwald story will be about Trump's ties to Russia. Apparently the Russian government is using him as a tool to disrupt American politics. They were behind the hacks. They thought he was going to be replaced during the whole Khan debacle so they briefly stopped helping him until it was clear he wouldn't be replaced. There's also stuff about foreign governments in NATO countries running counter-intelligence on Trump.

Those are the facts. The speculation is that either the Russians or one of the counter-intelligence agencies have something damning on Trump. Who knows whether or not we'll ever get to see it.

A huge story that will get zero media coverage.

But on the plus side, Beyonce is going to be campaigning for Hillary in OH. :naughty:

CNN is so cute sometimes, reporting on the most obvious things. What do other countries think about the elections or their candidates?

Mexico - can't stand Trump / Germany - can't stand Trump / France - can't stand Trump / Canada - can't stand Trump

Russia - can't stand Clinton

Israel (well at least the conservative parts) - can't stand Clinton - which makes sense, a huge part of conservative Israelis are former Russians

On another segment the had a report about RT and their news of the apocalypse that is the US election. Interviewing this woman asking if they would report about things that might be negative for the Russian government as well. Answer: we are 90% funded by the Russian government. Why would we do that. And we don't have time for that as well.
Tell us something we didn't know before.

That's true, but that's not the main reason why most are against Clinton/pro-Trump. Unfortunately, the majority of the population are still Bibi supporters.

Bibi is confident that he could do whatever the fuck he wants with Trump. Well, well. :1251: Just wait for the first occasion the Orange Monster is ego tripping and throws a hissy fit.

Reading stuff on the FBI, Russia, Guiliani, etc.... utter CORRUPTION. They're the ones trying to rig this damn election. What they're doing should be prosecuted, and the number one story everywhere.... Mother. Of. Fucking. God.

You mean Guiliani talking on Fox News about a bombshell to be dropped in a few days that will change the election? Two days before Comey released his weird letter to congress? If I understand it right, Guiliani used to be a former superior of Comey. Well, well, well. Republicans were always crying foul about that Clinton/Lynch meeting. This now is exactly the same. No matter if true or not.

Mexico can't stand Trump and the simple fact that someone like him is running is sending our economy into a crisis! The Mexican Fed is scrambling putting contingency plans into place in case he wins. The Mexican peso is at its worst point in history. Etc., etc.

This has been really bad for us.

They should try to find the person who came up with this. This is truly an attempt to influence the election. And that is a crime. And I think it comes with a pretty hefty prison charge. Even if this was meant as a joke, there should be no mercy. People are seriously crossing lines here.

And funny (well, not) that it is once again by someone who is obviously pro Trump. Just like all the people that have been arrested in the last days for trying to rig the election.

Im seriously kind of concerned that Trump and his Russian thugs/trolls are gonna go ALL out to try manipulate this election. Its already out there whats's going on. But needs to media needs to be on it like 24/7 now. His team are bad news but not enough low info people know that. Watch them Photoshop shit of Hillary doing something she didn't do then there won't be enough time for her team to combat it :# Oh and what the holly hell is up with New Hampshire lol. Thought as 'independent' as they were it was a very educated place. Guess not 'cause they may fuck this up. No idea how they dont see what Trump is.

That Meme was started on Reddit.

The fact that anyone would fall for it shows how lazy/stupid we have become.

Hillary is trending back up in the tracking polls you guys were freaking out about.

All of this Russia meddling is terrifying and goes way beyond Trump. The alt right is being completely manipulated by Putin. Russia has enough man power and tech savvy to spread misinformation at a rate that we've never experienced before. It's not going to stop after the election is over.
