Re-organize the Rebel Heart Era

Recommended Posts

Rebel-Heart.png

1st Single: Inside Out (Polished Demo Version)
It would drop unexpectedly, song on Itunes and Vevo Video at the same time.
Grammy performance with Madonna at the piano a some point.
2nd Single: Wash All Over Me (Polished Demo Version)
The video would be a end of times apocalypse, Madonna calmly walking while through chaotic streets in a destruction filled NYC with fires all around, people running, it starts raining at around the drop at 1:35, people start getting wet, Madonna closes her eyes looking up feeling the rain cleaning up all the mess, a kid smiles, people start helping each other, the camera zooms in a plant that's just starting to grow from the soil and the camera zooms out and it's at the other side of the river and you can see NYC at the other side with the sunlight starting to shine and a rainbow covering the sky.
3rd Single: Devil Pray (album version)
4th and final single: Queen (demo just like it is)
Video would be a bit bleak like the "Iconic" opening video, armies, wars, soldiers carrying her image and destroying it at the end. Basically: Madonna is the Queen and there's a coup d'etat. At the end when it says "May God Bless you all" you can see this lavish funeral for the Queen and people are looking sad and gently sobbing while a preacher is making the sign of the holy cross.

First single Rebel Heart

Not a big thumping extravaganza, but a manifesto statement. Radio would be quite receptive to it and it'll be a nice introduction to the warmer Madonna we got this era.

Second single: Living for Love. Wouldn't change a thing.

Third single/s: Ghosttown, exactly the way it is.

Unapologetic Bitch, for a summer banger. Rock-reggae vibe video by a beach.

Fourth single: Bitch, I'm Madonna, to kick off the tour.

Fifth single: Wash All Over Me. Get Mark Romanek to direct to video.

6 tracks released early to counter the leaks was a good move; I would've chosen 6 different songs to put out though. And I would have released a series of EPs instead of an album.

1) Rebel Heart EP--Devil Pray, UB, Illuminati, Heartbreakcity, Inside Out & Rebel Heart. Aviicii pop mix of RH released as radio single.

2) Living For Love EP--Released in March. Living For Love, Ghosttown, Hold Tight, Joan of Arc, Body Shop, Wash All Over Me, Messiah. Living For Love released as a single after the Grammys, followed by Ghosttown.

3) Iconic EP--Released early September. Iconic, VVV, Bitch I'm Madonna, Holy Water, Best Night, Sex. BIM as summer single, followed by Iconic.

This is the best era ever, why shoud we change it? :)

The rumors, the leaks, the excitement, the LFL video, the Grammys, the Brits, the big promo, the Ghosttown video, BIM and the 100 million views, Drake, and now the amazing tour. What a rollercoaster! I wouldn't change anything! :inlove:

I wouldn't change anything - but I hope there will be a "Rebel Heart - The Sessions" box set in the future. This era deserves it.

Yes!!!

Like others, I would have released the original RH upon leak. No video - let fans make them and post them on YT.

Then the rest of this era as is. Oh, except for that Ellen Show week :lmao:

I used to think about stuff like this all the time. Not anymore. Maybe that one aspect of getting old(er). ;)

Since M does not get any hits anyway I would not change a thing. I enjoyed the leaks, it was a fanasic experience.

And that Ellen week may not turned into big sales, but it was very entertaining.

No leaks.

1st single Rebel Heart Avicci version

Just that :fag:

Yep! Although I'm so glad to have the various demos and it was an incredible experience, it would have been better if they didn't leak, at least not until after the album came out. I would pick the demo version of Rebel Heart as the lead single with an epic video. I think that song was her best chance at a bona fide hit.

Oh, and Rebel Heart should have been a double album, featuring more of the songs that didn't make the cut.

HOWEVER, I will say that, even without these changes, this has absolutely been my favorite and most beloved era ever, or at least since Erotica. I have never felt more emotionally connected to Madonna and her music.

Everything is good as it is. Why changing it??? I wouldn't change LFL for anything. Would you really change LFL Grammy for some piano Inside Out?????????

And what's wrong about the Ellen Week? It was sooooo great!

Karbs and I are on the exact same page. RH era is fucking perfect.

Only thing I'd change is the leaks. Oh, and I wouldn't want her to be sick during Ellen week so that we'd have gotten another performance :wow:

OK, this is one change I'd probably have loved -- a 30-plus track double album with "Queen," "Never Let You Go," "Two Steps Behind Me," "Tonight," "Tragic Girl," "Trust No Bitch" and some others would have been phenomenal :wow::wow::wow:

This! Every word, minus the Erotica reference.

For me, Rebel Heart would have been the introduction single, out in late august/ early september with an epic and cinematographic video that would deal with all Madonna's favorite "rebellious" topic including age, wars, capitalism, religion and sexuality.

Then I would make Living For Love the lead single, around november with the album realise (like the Confessions era)
The video would have a dramatic and romantic side and would be a fight with the bull but within an epic and roman aesthetic. More blood, more tears and more fierceness.

The second one would have been Messiah, in february.
The video would be a reminder of the Secret Project with Madonna being prisonners and tortured for what she believing. Really Dark atmosphere and an epic final full of lights with Madonna being crucified and transformed into a modern Messiah

Then, Devil Pray as the third one, around april
Video about drug and esotherism with a very dark psychotic and psyche atmosphere. Something mind-blowing.

Unapologetic Bitch would be the fourth single, around july
The video would be in Basquiat, 90's style with urban Madonna like in Borderline

Finally, Holy Water would be the last single from RH, around september
In the video Madonna would deal with female sexual emancipation from church wearing a burka and dancing on the pole surrounding by nouns.

Ok now, stop dreaming ...

A 4th single can still happen! Rebel Heart would be perfect.

But let's make it more original and exciting :

4th single : SEX. Her most controversial video ever, and also the first music video to premiere live on 4cam and then on Pornhub :newspaper:
