Avicii comments on demos vs final versions

Recommended Posts

kanye made wash all over me special that fit the lyrics. while Avicii made it sound like a generic dance song

but I prefer the demo of rebel heart, even if its a bit dated & kitsch..

aside from the violins in the beginning the demo of wash all over me sounds like a million other dance songs. so surprised to see so many M fans prefer a generic dance version compared to something introspective & creative..

How can music sound dated after a few years ? If you love the way a song sounds, you love it. It not like fashion and should not be "in or out" so to speak. Anyway, what people love is what they love. Personally I much prefer the Rebel Heart demo by a mile but I prefer the album version of Borrowed time. All personal choice in the end.

I like the album versions of Rebel Heart and Wash All Over Me more than the demos. I really don't like Avicii's sound. I like what Kayne did on the album, except for Inside Out. He fucked that one up, if it was him. We don't have official credits, so we don't know who to blame.

No way is his WAOM better than Kanyes. I like the demo but it is typical, by the numbers Avicii. The final version sounds grand, it has depth. Aviciis was very one dimensional by comparison. It actually sounds like it would fit on MDNA better than RH.

I do prefer Aviciis RH but had some of you never heard it, the final RH would be praised. Although the final versions of Borrowed Time and Addicted are still very Avicii, I prefer the demos. Those tracks were on disc two of the Super Deluxe for a reason......that sound doesn't fit the sound of the album.

I really love the final version of "Inside Out". The original is brilliant but I don't see it as being "better" than the final version. I adore both.

I wonder what would the album had sounded like if nothing had leaked....and I also wonder who leaked all the songs :(

Someone at MadonnaTribe is suggesting that Avicii was behind the original leaks of his own tracks, implying that it was because he wasn't happy with the way things turned out (!!).

His demos are not bad but just cause they are current sounds they could smash and I think she was aware of that .

That s why I respect her choice to make them sound hers .

ATTENTION "dated sound" "prefer Avicii version blah blah is beyond me" yata yata blah blah "album version is >>>>" GUM FLAPPERS:

Flap your gums all you like, FACT remains, the Avicci "dated sound" is irrelevant, they took what all the fans, critics and haters alike considered one of Madonna's BEST tracks in over a decade (sound, beat, singing, feel, message, emotion, poured Her heart out and WE all felt it, full of life and joy WORK OF ART) and turned it into a mere lifeless track...so much so that if it wasn't for the Avicii version no one would have even noticed it or mention it but the die hard fans!

At least leaks are no longer blamed on poor Mercy.
