loowee Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Ex-fans: Ugly middle-aged cunts that haven't liked her music since 1807. They would just randomly tell people how they used to like her music and what she "should" be doing and voice their opinions as if they are more superior. They also think that she's trying too hard to keep up with the young and wish that she would go back to her "roots" (whatever the fuck it means). Symptoms: - Going through midlife crisis - Not very attractive looking - Have outgrown Madonna by 45 years and can't stand her "fun" side - Delusional Ray Of Lighters who think ROL was the only true definition of "Madonna" - hates hip-hop music in general - Pretends that they still look forward to the next record. Haters: Stupid twats who just hates everything about Madonna. Trolls that spam on social media and forums. Dedicate 23 hours a day to write about how much they hate her. Symptoms: - Too young to even witness her peak years - suicidal teenagers - Does not have a life - fans of reductive pop stars Who bugs you more? To me it's the ex-fans who pretend that they know everything about her! At least you can laugh it off the haters because they are just downright psychos.
Guest TearsInHeaven Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 from my personal experience i'd say ex-fans
LSD Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Ex-fans. They say the most vile things yet keep up the pretense that it's all constructive.
Amzer801 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Ex-fans definitely. They have a holier-than-thou attitude and think they know everything. When it comes to haters, I make a distinction between the young ones and the others that have hated her for decades (I think of the Anti-Madonna discussion board for example)
karbatal Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Both of them should be very far away. I don't know if it's because i'm reaching 40 this year, but i cant' stand any negativity and i'm fed up with negative people, so both groups should go and never mentioned.
madmark Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I was talking with one ex-fan who couldn't handle her voice on Rebel Heart... I mean, if you liked her voice before, how you not handle it now? I mean, I know her voice has evolved over the years, but it's not that different, especially if you liked it before. People can be so endlessly frustrating.
side_streets Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Ex-fans: - Delusional Ray Of Lighters who think ROL was the only true definition of "Madonna" This is the most annoying group of ex-fans! I really can't stand them.
nick00 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 They both suck in unique ways. Some of the older gays have this pent up anger against M which is pretty intense. Younger gays are annoying because they have the extra time and energy to obsessively troll the entire internet. Feel disappointed many women seem to supposedly shriek in horror and repulsion at M because of her choice of clothing or boyfriends. Many straight guys always had in for her, but for some reason you often see them at shows with their girlfriends/wives. This era has been especially interesting in that right wing still despises her, but feminists, social justice warriors, black activists, and liberals in general are misunderstanding her and being assholes.
Genevieve Vavance Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 can't stand those flip-floppers, at least the haters are consequent
Butter9 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Ex Fans . I do understand Haters - If you don't like someone you don't like someone and it's fine. But Ex Fans who turned against her and refused to accept that Madonna evolved and is still evolving and I find it perplexing that love and adoration and turned to hatred and spitefulness in such short space of time . Personally she's given me so much from the first album to RH. yes I might be GMAYL or Hey You along the way but I'll never stop being a fan even if her record sales are not as great as they use too. It's fine. I'm on this journey for life .
SOON Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 They both suck but I'd say ex-fans are worse because they should know better! The bitter disgruntled former fans you especially see at theotherbore and mtripe.
Guest Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Honestly, I don't know any ex-fans. I do, however, know a lot of haters. And, they get on my nerves like there's no tomorrow. So I vote: haters.
Jazzy Jan Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Can't stand either but Ex-fans because they should know better. Plus if they don't like Madonna anymore, than be mature and just move on. Instead they flood comments and forums with their Madonna put-downs whilst arrogantly telling everyone that they used to like Madonna as if it is now something to be ashamed of. Haters are revolting as well but usually can be dealed with quickly. Another point though is some haters pretend to be ex-Madonna fans as they think it fools people and gives them some kind of perspective and kudos.
nefarious Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Well at least haters have the excuse of ignorance; ex-fans have knelt before God and turned away, I would say that is far worse. It wouldn't be so bad if they could just humbly and quietly move on, instead of watching and criticizing everything M does. It makes no sense to me.
Guest Pud Whacker Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 both but the ex-fan (if hardcore) is ridiculous.
HarleyQuinn Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 They both suck in unique ways. I noticed this too. I should know better than to look at places like Jezebel and lipstick alley but damn, with the amount of negativity I see, it's as if Madonna had skinned these blogger's precious Shi Tzu. I find it interestingly ironic that a lot of these bloggers are women, err, little girls who grew up privileged (thanks in large part to feminism) and invest so much energy onto someone who had to deal with so much misogyny in the male dominated music and entertainment industry. It's trendy to bash Madonna and it is sick. She cannot even post fan made art without these assholes and their little college degrees overanalyzing and turning it into something that it is not. What bothers me about the latter doing all of this is how they claim to be about women doing whatever they want but they are silent when it comes to ageism. I will bet my life savings that when THEY reach their fifties, these little cunts will finger fuck themselves over ageism that will come their way. Mark my words.
Roland Barthes Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Madonna reaches standards they can't. She's sexy and women hate sexy women except if they are victims and non threatening. Sexy and powerful they can't deal because that's what they want to be but can't. If Madonna was ugly she could do whatever she wants because she would be non threatening.
Apples388 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 The concept of an 'ex-fan' is so disgusting to me that I can't and don't eve want to begin to fathom it. My molecular structure rejects their existence.
Nikki Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 ex fans because they're the type of people "educating" ppl who may show an interest and feel like they have to let them know how horrible she is, and invent all kind of bullshit just to make them hate her. like it would be horrible if she gains a fan, so they have to make them hate her before they can get into her. it's like their own mission. it's sick. writing paragraphs on how she's a racist and hates black people & uses her fans.. something like that. diminishing her talent. but never actually the music. just M. all comes down to fans being insecure of not getting the love or work (it may depend) they want from her so they have to get back to her. it always feels very personal. its never really about how horrible her music suddenly is or her performing talents.. and they often involve gaga somehow and cling to her (even though they may not even like her, she's just an easy one to go to when you don't like M) then there's the gaga fans who turned into sick haters. and it gets worse when those people are bloggers or "journalists" and write for newspapers or music reviews (which we've seen too)
ryan Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Haters atleast will enjoy a song or 2 and will admit it. The ex fans will drag each and everything. They're sad people. Usually escorts and prostitutes. They don't love themselves.
Roland Barthes Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Ex haters. They rapidely become obnoxious in their praise.
Rollap Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Ex-fans. They say the most vile things yet keep up the pretense that it's all constructive. Bingo
Rollap Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Well at least haters have the excuse of ignorance; ex-fans have knelt before God and turned away, I would say that is far worse. :D
Guest Rachelle of London Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Omg the current fans that secretly hate on her and are passive aggressive with all their statements are the worst!!'n
