But considering Madonna's legacy, and everything, I think she does not manage her image well... Being a bitch, or making two marketing wonders call herself bitch are not my fav things about her... I think that Madonna collaborates with Miley, Nicki Minaj to attract attention of younger generations, but I feel that she should collaborate with more classy, and more talented acts... I would like to see Gaga and Madonna together, but considering it is nearly impossible, she can collaborate with For example: Beyoncé, Rihanna, Florence+The Machine, Sia, Lorde... Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus are very poor choices to keep by her side.... so basically, it's all about how she appears to the media and the public you don't get that she doesn't care. and the media doesn't get it either. they still don't get madonna after 32 years of being in the business. they don't get her sense of humour. and thats the problem

But I am not a die-hard stan for anyone because being a fanatic about anything is not something that educated or rational people do... She has younger audiences in concerts which does not mean a great thing... x area has population of 5,000,000, concert has 30,000 attendance... It might be 100% young, but it does not represent casual music listeners... Biggest percentage of population only listens to radio, or random hits... These people are majority... Their opinions generate main public opinion, this is what OP was talking about. To give another example percentage of rihanna's younger fans is bigger than percentage of madonna's younger fans... But again this is not relevant to that topic, or I did not even get how you inferred sentences quoted above from my post. I said younger generations who did not attend Madge's concerts... I did not say younger people do not go to her concerts... I said general public's biggest percentage, especially young people who control social media, are not exposed to Madonna's legacy because she is not often on Tv, or radio...

God I do think even if Madonna had collaborated with The Beatles /The King ( Elvis ) /_______ ( Insert the name of the youngest and hippest artists here ) she would still get criticised negatively for it simply because she refuses to follow the rules of the industry and the society . Instead she's breaking them . A 56 year old pop start dressing up in corset and hot pants ? Singing ( Amazing ) pop songs ? I do not care who she collaborated with as long as the music is good. ( I mean what if she's collaborated with Gaga and the result was like a track from Artpop for crying out loud .) I remembered after Live Aid some journalists in UK were calling her a tart and today they are crucifying her for refusing to act her age . But for me she's opening a door for women who do not want to look like Annie Lennox ( and there is nothing wrong with looking like AL ) when they are in their 50s/60s . So over the course of 30 + years how has Madonna not manage her Image well ? And as a fan I hope you do know that Madonna is always more than just the IMAGE . She's much more than that .

But if people are just going to hate her without a real reason and say "she's old" or "she should act her age" then I really have no interest in engaging with people like that. They are the same types of people that follow popular opinion like sheep. They are the types of people you SHOULD delete. Sorry I said I will not write again, but I have to correct misunderstanding. I think she does not care about having an image in society's norm. I like Madonna, and her performance, and her music. It was my theory to the question of OP asking why she gets hate on social media lately. My answer was Because social media is under control of young people. And young people who did not watch Madonna's amazing performances(most of them since she is not on tv so often in 2000s); they see her collaborating with people who do have bad reputation(I do not care about it either). That was a maybe-reason for the hate Madonna gets as claimed by OP... I love Madonna ... Everybody acts like I started talking about her image out of nowhere, actual topic was why Madonna was getting hate online ... Please do not mention me... I really do not want to write more. And she has got a shape most would kill to have at that age. She managed to stay away from drugs, she makes big money and is not ostentatious. However Madonna can get on your nerves. She sometimes is unnatural, vulgar and has an awkward or odd sense of humor which is very often misunderstood and interpreted as arrogance or stupidity. She has not the greatest voice but its unique. She is one of a performer. She deserves her title "The Queen". She earned it every bit during these past 30 years. Madonna equals discipline, liberation, free thinking, creativity. She worked very hard to get where she is today. Some people just cant cope with this. That she is still here, makes massive hits of all she touches, dates younger men and still performs. With success. "Are you just supposed to die when you're 50?"
