Part I of IV: What two pictures define each Madonna era to you? The 80's.

So I was thinking that if I had to illustrate to a newbie the essence of each era through pictures, what images would I pick?

I tried one image per era but M seems to have at least two distinctive looks per era so I decided that two pictures would better represent (for example the ethereal/geisha looks for ROL).

However, since there are too many eras for one single thread, let's start with the 80's.

For this purpose let's assume an era as the release of an album/soundtrack/compilation/remix album. So for the 80's I think it comes down to this:

1. Pre-Madonna (1980-82)

2. Madonna (1983-84)

3. Like A Virgin (1985)

4. True Blue (1986-87)

5. Who's That Girl/You Can Dance (1987)

6. Like A Prayer (1988-89)
