XXL Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 You haven't aged one year and you pioneered COOL in POP at 47 Thanks to Madonna for this amazing record and the whole Confessions era http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsLZQBA6hCw
Crux Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 How time flies. I remember the first time I heard it. It was like having a 1 hour orgasm. Amazing album.
Mensch Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 This excites me. I hope Matress posts some cool stuff. Even though it's more recent, I know he has more than we all remember.
Jazzy Jan Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 This excites me. I hope Matress posts some cool stuff. Even though it's more recent, I know he has more than we all remember. Everyone loves Mattress's appreciation threads and information. He could easily write a book and every Madonna fan would most likely buy it.
Mensch Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 He'd make so much money. 😂 He'd outsell MDNA
mtzlplk Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 After nine years, i can say that GET TOGETHER is my favorite song from this album now... esp. the intro...
elijah Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 My favorite album of hers . This says alot because I ve been following her since 1986 (I was seven) and I have owned every record from LAP onwards (I bought the previous ones after that). So for an artist to release such a defying album so long into her career (23 years since the debut) is remarkable and unprecedented (I believe). Also the CTour was probably her best. Not to mention that she looked totally amazing throughout the era. I loved the fact that the music was modern, yet deep, she sounded like an adult sophisticated woman. Probably that's the Part 2 of an album I wont oppose to hear .
Jairo Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 My favorite Madonna album. A Masterpiece. Every single song is perfection.
Flip The Switch Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Still remember this day 9 years ago. I was waiting for the proper 256kbps torrent rip while I was taking some classes in college. burned the cd and left the building with my new M cd blasting the new music while I was driving. Get Together, Future Lovers, ILNY, Isaac and How High were instant favs.
HarleyQuinn Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Forbidden Love is my track! LOve it! I remember I got it at Costco!
nick00 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I would say Confessions was her last truly AMAZING era! The album, singles, HU video, promo, tour, & fashion kicked ass!
acko Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 ah, the peak of my record store days, we had the world premier nocturnal retail release on the 10th of november & sold more than 3.000 copies in one hour! Which is huge in Belgium.
mgreece Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 After nine years, i can say that GET TOGETHER is my favorite song from this album now... esp. the intro... My feelings exactly
HarleyQuinn Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Who else got the set with the notebook?
madonnasuperfan01 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 SUCH AN AMAZING DANCE RECORD! Can't believe it's been 9 years already! Time goes by so quickly
XXL Posted November 11, 2014 Author Posted November 11, 2014 ah, the peak of my record store days, we had the world premier nocturnal retail release on the 10th of november & sold more than 3.000 copies in one hour! Which is huge in Belgium They did that for HC in Milan I remember it vividly. 1 am in the morning, on a week day, the area around the Duomo looked like it was under invasion by an army of gay men between 20 and 50
XXL Posted November 11, 2014 Author Posted November 11, 2014 God how I loved hearing bits of HU for the first time on those Motorola commercial snippets STEVE JOBS: So Madonna, what took you so long to finally allow your catalogue to be available on the iTUNES store? MADONNA: I got tired of not being able to donwload my own music
nick00 Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Who else got the set with the notebook? Yeah I got that at the time. I'm glad I purchased it for collection reasons.
Flip The Switch Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Who else got the set with the notebook?Who doesn't? Here's mine. One of my fav items.
5iVe Elements Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 I loved Hung Up but I felt meh to this initially. At that time, I preferred AL and ROL which I just discovered so that probably formed the initial opinion. But the CT changed all that and I fell in love with the album. I do prefer the unmixed or whatever it is called version than the one that's on the CD because I can't shuffle it properly Though I miss the alarm clock in Hung Up.
5iVe Elements Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Who else got the set with the notebook? I have it too! And the standard edition
paradise Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 i loved the 'tommy' inspired photos, they were criminally underused during that era
