karbatal Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Madonna has recognized it, and, in a sense, given her approval. Indeed!
Simo9jo Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 She sings it like someone from an American Idol type of competition show, even the hand movement are typical.
Guest Rocco Papa Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Here's what Madonna herself said about the song: I was surprised by how people reacted to "Like a Virgin" because when I did that song, to me, I was singing about how something made me feel a certain way – brand-new and fresh – and everyone interpreted it as I don't want to be a virgin anymore. Fuck my brains out! That's not what I sang at all. "Like a Virgin" was always absolutely ambiguous. I, personally, like the Sister's cover of the song. And I loved her first audition on "The Voice." I saw it on "Ellen" and thought it was great. Especially with all her Nun friends backstage cheering her on!
Guest Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Oh dear. That was like watching the winner of a Halloween karaoke competition

Of course a big cock helps.

justinian Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Sister Cristina Scuccia, The Singing Nun, Releases 'Like A Virgin' Cover (Without The Naughty Bits) The Huffington Post | By Antonia Blumberg The amazing and talented singing nun, Sister Cristina, is a huge fan of the Madonna...and the other Madonna. For her first album, due to release on November 11, the 26-year-old nun has included a cover of "Like A Virgin," Madonna's racy 1984 hit. Before prudent mothers everywhere sound the alarm, be assured that Sister Cristina Scuccia left out all the sexy bits -- like, "Gonna give you all my love, boy" -- and calls the version more of “a secular prayer than a pop song." Addressing any fears, Scuccia told Italian newspaper Avvenire: Sister Cristina exploded onto the public stage in March with her performance of Alicia Keys' "No One" on "The Voice of Italy." She went on to do covers of "Hero," "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and more -- ultimately winning the competition and scoring a record deal with Universal. “If you read the lyrics without being influenced by what has gone before, you discover that it is a song about the capacity of love to make people new again To release them from their past. And this is how I wanted to interpret it. That’s why we’ve transformed it from the pop-dance track it was into a romantic ballad a bit in the style of Amos Lee.” All the while, the nun has remained humble about her success, performing only in her black habit and flats and letting her voice capture the crowds. She plans to make her perpetual vows in 2018, National Catholic Register reports. Pop star Madonna, on the other hand, has explored many faith traditions over the years, which may or may not have inspired the religious symbolism in the original "Like A Virgin." Either way, take a look at the 1984 music video, shot in Venice like Sister Cristina's 2014 remake, and tell us which you like better: ALSO ON HUFFPOST: MORE:
karbatal Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Will she sing Justify my love next???? And she could be in Paris, in Sacre Coir, and then in Rome holding the hand of the Pope. And she can sing "i want to pray there, in a rainstorm, pray the rosary in a train, crosscountry. You put this on me, so now what..."
5iVe Elements Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 I just bought the song on iTunes. I love it!
