What are the things that actually make COADF such a great album?

Recommended Posts

Future Lovers, Get Together, Isaac, Forbidden Love and Let it will be are my reason for COAD being the amazing album hat it is. The fact that I also like, and still listen to, all the rest of the tracks (including the extras, but not Push) makes it magnificent!

:wow: :wow: :wow:

For me personally, one my favorite M videos of all time. It blew me away when I first watched it!

The entire COTDF era was one of the best by M.....even with some minor flaws.

***SHEDDING TEARS***

MADONNA IS SEX, ITSELF. Ugh. And that pink leotard is ICONIC; I hope she reinvents it somehow.

and why everybody dish her live performance on ema in her leotard? everybody needs to follow with their fat ases

beyonce used it at grammy the most fresh

since hung up leotard all singers still use it for performances....this is impact

Get Together is my ultimate favourite.

Let It Will Be, Jump, Future Lovers and Forbidden Love are highlights.

If this was released in the 90s it could of had 6 singles. The album so deserved it.

I remember lots of fans on Madonnamad wanted Push as a single cos they thought the "urban" feel would get her airplay in the US

I love Push and Isaac!

How High is the only track I skip everytime. FL is okay but I'm not it's biggest fan.

I think for MOST fans, critics and the general public Confessions truly was the last time Madonna was "great".

Commercially, critically and generally the album and particularly it's massive lead, Hung Up worked on so many levels!

After the flop of Anerican Life her and Warners came back with a massive promo campaign and really sold the album!

Christ, she even went to Japan to promote her new album!!!

It was also the last time she has truly done a "reinvention".

There is something magical about Confessions thanks to Hung Up storming up the charts this late year...

Without it, I guess people would like it much less....

It was an obvious one.

Making Hard Candy was much more risky and reinventing herself to me...

She was simply returning to her dance roots.

I feel like HC was her first musical reinvention since ROL. I found it refreshing because as much as I love everything ROL-COADF, it was time to switch it up.

I don't agree that Hard Candy was a re-invention.

COADF was treated as an album event the same way that Music and Ray of Light were.

Not only was the album "themed" but Madonna had a completly new image, the style AND sound was Completly in sync.

Hard Candy didn't have that same level of classic Madonna "reinvention".
