Nightshade
Adding insult to injury for Australia...obviously she's not that tired if she's adding surprise dates to Paris. Yay for the French, but jeez... Australian fans are giving her the boot on her Facebook comments for this topic.

Guest northernlad
So THIS must have been the surprise for Paris she was speaking of at that earlier soundcheck. Amazing. Remember she wanted to do a few theatres shows during CT but nothing came of it. I wonder if she'll do the same for New York?

MadCrazy
Announcement about week before the show starts?? & the show will be streamed for all to see ???? Added to the Aussie cancellation... I am becoming so puzzled with the people handling her business....
Guest northernlad
Why is she doing this though? Will this yield a much higher boxscore? Because Kylie did it. It obviously won't make much money, this is just for FUN.
Louise Oriole
I don't think this is the full show since she can't fit that stage in there. It's just a stripped down show with probably no dancing, or maybe some backing dancers? Are they really counting this for the tour's numbers? Won't this make her average attendance and gross numbers go down? The venue's tiny.
Nightshade
It obviously won't make much money, this is just for FUN. Maybe she wants to get out of London...Guy lives there with his trophy wife and their new spawn. She should cover Alanis' "You Oughta Know." It would've made more sense back then when she wasn't doing so many stadiums and shows and had a shorter tour overall.
Guest
I'm so confused with this era... first she cancels the Australian leg and on the same day she announces this? What's going on? I'm probably just bitter because I want to go but I live in the U.S. so that's not an option. Imagine seeing Madonna in such an intimate setting! And who cares about tour stats lady?!
Nightshade
Imagine seeing Madonna in such an intimate setting! Just like Roseland back in 2000, only this time it's 4 months AFTER the album comes out. This is such wonderful non-traditional promo!
Nixed
I'm wondering if this is out of obligation with Smirnoff as they've been mentioned in that press release.
Nightshade
I'm wondering if this is out of obligation with Smirnoff as they've been mentioned in that press release. I don't think a vodka company is dictating her tour schedule. She had quite a few days off between Dublin and Vienna. I thought she'd want a break to spend with her kids, but I guess she'd rather be productive with that time since she is basically keeping the touring group on retainer anyway. On the one hand, it is kind of cool to do an intimate show as a surprise. It's quite another to do it the same day your promoter cancels an entire leg in Australia. Granted, one night a hop and a skip from London is easier to pull off than a month on the opposite side of the globe, but still - from a PR angle it is quite a slap in the face. This "show" is a surprise indeed though. Late promo I guess.
Guest northernlad
Well yes, but those free, 6-song promo shows she's done in theatres and clubs in Paris, London and New York in recent years are entirely different from a proper tour stop which this seems to be. For sure, I just hate that I can't go since it's too soon and the flight it's going to cost to much etc. Since Australia was cancelled and I've seen her many times since 2001 (and 2 times this year) I really can't complain though.
