GIRL GONE WILD: NEW THREAD

Yummy

Madonna's Facebook page hasn't mentioned it and that's been very up-to-date. I've not seen any other notification from Hardcandymusic who've also got all the latest news. What was the source apart from a news article?

Why this era is so messy and hush hush...?

It matches our current time. This days everything is messy. The Internet effect is taking over.

i highly doubt that it will be out today, what the fuck would be the point, it would only have half the week sales to go towards the charts, thats just sloppy and messy if they release it anytime but monday (or whenever the cutoff date is for the charts)...such a messy ass promotion

i PRAY it comes out monday the 5th

isnt it also odd that billboard is already predicting it will chart on the hot 100 next week LOL

Is is sad to see William Orbit doing the promo for MDNA not Guy Oseary or Interscope. :madgemanson:

Building the buzz I imagine. The album is when the full promotion will kick in. This way it's more subtle and focussing on the music.

I think it should hit radio worldwide on Monday March 5th and then have an iTunes release Monday 12th with the video debuting same day. Shouldn't just throw this out without any build up.

i don't see why billboard would say that if it weren't true. then again, it's definitely nowhere to be found on itunes so...

i so wish it would come out today though.

"waiting is the hardest thing."

someone probably said 'the beginning of march' for the single and someone took it literal or maybe it'll drop later tonight. i wouldn't worry 2 much about it. patience. this IS the month for EVERYTHING you guys. she is coming and she'll give us what we want. we just can't have it right now no matter what. this is the time for being teased. enjoy it! it'll be over soon

unusually messy and disorganised for M and her team ....looks like they only focused on the short term..i.e preparing for the superbowl since then everything ( tour , single releases etc) feels like its being patched together as they go along....further, she is way out of her league if compared to her younger contemporaries when it comes to Social media and current marketing trends.

I, for one, appreciate the fact that she's not shoving everything down our throats and hyping it up. It's a mystery, we only know so much. And it makes us want more! She clearly has nothing to prove, she's just making more great dance music.

i went ahead and googled the date and it seems like quite a few sites have today listed as the release date as well, so if it IS coming today, it only has a few hours left. it'd be odd for them to release it at 8:32pm or whatever, but hey, i won't complain. i love this song, and i refuse to put it on my ipod until i have it in HQ, so the sooner the better.

however, as much as it drives me up the fucking wall...as much as i would massacre my family for a chance to have the album RIGHT NOW...i do really enjoy the waiting period before the album drops. all the rumors, tidbits, leaks, etc are so much fun. ANNOYING, but fun.

Hmmm She is selling tons of concert ticket which is her bottom line now , I'm thinking everything being done is only for exposure not for the charts besides her younger contemporaries cannot touch her on the touring side.they may have millions of followers on twitter and Facebook but some of it doesn't even translate to number 1 hits for the young uns.

It's just like GMAYL leak that people were expecting the REAL song to be entirely different and now the same with GGW. Please. What's the point to make us hear first a twisted version of the real thing??? That's ridiculous! This is very messy!

I agree. Why released a poorly produced track with lyric vdo ( you can hardly hear her voice ) first before the real super ( allegedly )AMAZING track a week later ?

I don't get it and I read on allaboutmadonna.com that Masterpiece would be the 3rd single ! I so hope this is just some sick/twisted rumour.

That would just be ridiculous. I thought it would do well to push for the movie with a video, but now all the fans already own the song. It would be pointless!

I know ! I thought this era started off so well with the superbowl and then everything turned into this unorganised mess.

I like GGW ( esp the Remix where you can actually hear her AND the thumbing beats ) and want it to do well but I can see people are getting annoyed by

the lack of infos. or the too-many-untrue infos regarding GGW and MDNA.

Some of you crack me up. All this nonsense about "piecing it together" and "unorganize mess". LOL! Just enjoy it or get off the boat is all I am going to say. The next few weeks, you're going to be eating your words when she'll be everywhere again. We're just beginning a new build up. Let that ride, rather forcing things down our throats. The album isn't out yet. She isn't ready to go out and promote an album that is nearly three and a half weeks away. That's silly. No one does that... oh wait, unless you mean she should go to Twitter or Facebook and tweet about every freakin' crap she takes or Botox injection she gets. Good grief!!

A swiped lyric adds fuel to Cyndi Lauper's resentment of Madonna

My link

Madonna's latest musical outing is certainly stirring up controversy for the music superstar. On top of ticking off porn king Joe Francis by "adopting" a title he has long believed belongs to him alone — "Girl Gone Wild" — she now has irritated another pop star of '80s vintage: Cyndi Lauper.

By using a lyric — "Girls, they just wanna have some fun" — that's reminiscent of Lauper's 1983 hit "Girls Just Want to Have Fun," Madonna has angered the singer who Showbiz411's Roger Friedman correctly noted long has toiled in the Material Mom's shadow. Privately, sources close to Lauper have told me that she feels her career has been somewhat eclipsed by Madonna, especially financially. That irks Lauper, given she thinks of herself a far superior talent, who writes virtually all of her own music.:lmao:

Amen! The woman, who needs to do absolutely nothing for the rest of her life and will still be considered miles beyond everyone else, has in the past two months won a Golden Globe, won rave reviews for the most watched halftime show in history, scored her 38th Top 10 single, and set sales records with an album that is not yet out. The fact that some on here have tried to spin the era into a flop is nothing short of hilarious, actually bordering on crazy.

Erm.. I think we are allowed to have an opinion and I hope I will be AWESTRUCK by how good MDNA is. I bought the pre order and am looking forward to hearing it and seeing her promoting the shit out of it .

I don't buy one word of this... in regards to Cyndi being upset. Cyndi has always publicly held Madonna up in high regards. She even said that she couldn't even begin to handle a career like Madonna has had.
