HolidayGuy
As an FYI: This was an e-mail some site got about that commercial: You might have already seen the commercial on TV. You might have heard the heartbeat and seen the flashing lights. Is that high heel? There’s someone in there, just waiting to get out. It may not be Super Bowl season, but this is the commercial everyone is talking about, and everyone’s dying to know: Who is X? We can’t unveil the secret yet, but it’s obvious enough, this is going to be a BIG announcement. Right now, only the :15 seconds of UnzipX are airing on TV. You never know, you just might recognize who it is. Don’t forget to come back to YouTube.com/unzipX on November 9th and unzip the mystery for yourself. Until then, we’ll never tell. Who is the woman? Madonna? Stefani Gaga? Britney Spears? I've tried pausing and can't tell. If it's M, yes, they airbrushed the veins out of her arms.

I might be mistaking but the woman in the commercial has brown hair, not blonde... But that could also be because of the lighting...

iasonas
Interscope and Universal are great. Warner is a huge flop compared to Universal. They don't have any big artists anymore. Universal has all the best. GaGa, Rihanna etc. They also have NICKI MINAJ and they distribute MIA's albums in the US. MIA also partnered with Interscope to create her own label. Today, Iovine is chairman of Interscope-Geffen-A&M, a Los Angeles based umbrella label owned by Universal Music Group. And guess what's the label for which Madonna has signed an exclusive deal - to be officially announced very soon - for her 2012 album? Interscope, of course. http://www.madonnatribe.com/news/index.php In 2007 Madonna and Livenation shocked the music industry with a massive $120million dollar deal. The deal with Live Nation encompasses future music and music-related businesses, including the Madonna brand, albums, touring, merchandising, fan club and Web site, DVDs, music-related television and film projects, and associated sponsorship agreements. Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino said in the statement that Madonna will be the founding artist in its new Artist Nation division, created to partner with musicians to manage their diverse rights and provide global distribution and marketing. “I am thrilled that Madonna, who is also now a shareholder in our company, has joined with us to create a new business model for our industry,” Rapino said. “Bringing all the varied elements of Madonna’s stunning music career into the Artist Nation and Live Nation family, moves her future and the future of our company into a unique and extraordinary place.” Live Nation Entertainment is the world's leading live entertainment and eCommerce company, comprised of four market leaders: Ticketmaster.com, Live Nation Concerts, Front Line Management Group and Live Nation Network. Universal is the world's no1 label and it owns labels like Interscope and Island in the US and Polydor in the UK.

I suspect she'll be putting much more effort than usual, simply because it's like a fresh start for her. I'm sure everyone involved wants this to be her major comeback to the music scene. SkyHigh76
Everyone involved with the new album (Madonna and Guy Oseary...LiveNation execs....Universal execs) should be working on an aggressive, effective promotional campaign for the album. They need to schedule the release date for the new single.Should it be released before or after the Super Bowl? What will be the second single? Start planning the videos for the first two singles.Who will direct them? I want this project to reach its full potential and not lose steam early in the game because of silly mistakes, such as picking the wrong singles (Hard Candy, anyone?) Guest
I want this project to reach its full potential and not lose steam early in the game because of silly mistakes, such as picking the wrong singles (Hard Candy, anyone?) WBR was screwing around with M's single releases as far back as ROL. A release date was announced, then moved back, then moved again, etc. I hope that UMG sees the benefit of promoting an artist like M and keeps a tight release schedule. I still think its strange that WBR never released M's albums to ITUNES the moment the last 2 (3 if you count Celebration) albums leaked and just kept the release dates of physical copies on the original dates. Anyhow, Here's to something new! Bring on this new era!

Apples388
From William Orbit's Facebook - I’m at the Virgin Atlantic lounge at JFK. Ready to crash right out on my night flight to London. On a bed. Feels like a heck of a lot has been achieved. Wish I could say more but you know, mums’s the word. For now. Won’t be long and all will be revealed. And more than just the specific project that has got a lot of you buzzing. I’ll be honest, am feeling a little burnt out tonight. After these intense weeks. But I’ll be right back on it after a couple of good night’s sleep and a few bevvies with friends + family at the Groucho. Looking forward to rotating back to the real world. It’s rather an unreal life bubble. Recording Studios, edit suites, hotels, airports, plane cabins, car services. All running 24 hours. As if the cycle of day and night did not exist. Soon I’ll take a step out into the wild natural world and feel the season. Breathe the winter air and absorb the silence (and not the absolute silence of the studio, but the silence of the animal kingdom, dreaming). But MSR has been great studio to work in. Situated in a side street just off the bright lights of Times square. A nondescript door above a dilapidated music shop that opens onto a warren of studios, coridors and unused spaces. Three old buildings welded together in the heart of mid-town Manhattan, only half of the space being used (stumbled into an derelict strip club the other day when I was exploring the building) Working through the night. Bass pounding at times enough to lift the chair off the floor. Or total silence apart from the clicking of computer keys. Am being a bit rambling now as I sit here, with a couple of beers, and a Jameson, with Alan, my trusty PA and good friend, looking forward to getting back home. He’s sorted out the shipping, freight, paperwork, transportation, in conjunction with AAM, and I’m in zombie mode. Him too, really, as our mission for the moment is done., We’re’ghost’ as our engineer, Demo, put it. ‘Thousand yard stare’. But feeling like that we’ve part of a special moment in all of our careers. Including M’s. Who, I have to say has amazed me anew in unexpected ways during the last few months. It was great earlier tonight to head downtown and see all the wonderful folk at my management company (AAM). Andy Kipnes (my manager) and Ross Donadio also discussed with me my new Strange Cargo album which is all but finished. And some other song projects that I will pick up one once M’s and my new album are mastered at the end of this month So over and out now for a while. Offline for a couple of days. Btw. Who’s going to be in Las Vegas at New Years? I’ve booked the Studio at Palms Casino, Las Vegas again this year. Witrh Jean Baptiste, Priscilla Renea, Swedish House Mafia, and other friends and songwriting pals. For a week of partying and writing. Just like the week we had last new-years, which kicked everything off. They’re calling my flight now See you all again soon! W
Apples388
So I think in terms of our future 'timeline' things we can say that this is it - the new Madonna album is finished. Solveig also says he's flying out to Denmark on his Facebook so I'd say recording is done, and as WO said, they will not be mastering. The record will be mastered and finished by the end of November.
