chayman
Fresno and Phoenix - maybe she didn't make the top 10 - if they showed the top 15 they might be in there. all of the rolling stones concerts are so old.

They have alot of updates this week at Boxscore... I don't think they did too many shows this year and they had to put the tour on a big hiatus so Keith could recover from brain surgery or something. mtzlplk
Is the $200M gross projection realistic? if MADONNA would rake in at least 33% of this gross she'll be richer this year with $66M...

The first 18 shows have grossed $46 million... She has over 50 shows secheduled so far... 18 x 3 = 54 $46 million x 3 = $138 million Some overseas shows will make much more than the average, so $200 million seems likely, plus id she adds more dates... mr_boogiewoogie
It is quite interesting how much she'll make in NEW YORK, LONDON, PARIS, JAPAN and MOSCOW, the priciest cities still to com in the tour... You are forgetting the big stadium shows like Cardiff (60,000 tickets....very high-priced for a stadium), Rome (62,000), Horsens (80,000), the German shows (more than 120,000 total....again very high-prices for stadium), Amsterdam (80,000 total) and Prague (more than 30,000). With an average 130,00 Euro per ticket she will rank in more than 55,000,000 Euro's from just the above-mentioned shows. Then you have the London shows (very expensive!), Paris, Japan and the big Moscow concert. She should end up with close to 100,000,000 Euro's (more than 125,000,000 USD) after all is said and done in Europe and Japan. By the time she's done in the US she will have made more than 75,000,000 USD. So there you have it! 200,000,000 USD! Highest grossing tour by a female artist! moniquearis
Dunno which show they went to but the show I went to it was full house and I don't see no curtains. Plus how on earth are they gonna put up curtains. The layout is not made for a big curtain covering some sections. All the seats are exposed for everyone to see. HolidayGuy
This week's info already was posted in the initial post. It's possible there may be an empty seat here and there, byt by and large, it's always a PACKED house.

Guest Topaz Scorpio
I had always wondered if these statistics were real or bogus. No we know that they're bullshit as it says that Hartford sold out on both shows and we all know that the second show was definitely NOT sold out. Guest Beautiful Stranger
And how exactly do we know that?
Guest Hafo
I think they are very strict on this, the ticket sales are certified by an agency or sumtin'. Boxscore might have different ways or standards to calculate what a sold-out is...

But numerous people have posted about that second Hartford show having whole sections draped off that people were sitting in the previous night. That show could not have possibly sold out. Guest Hafo
But numerous people have posted about that second Hartford show having whole sections draped off that people were sitting in the previous night. That show could not have possibly sold out. Perhaps those sections were supposed to be closed for both concerts, and the demand for the 1st was so big that they opened them. Billboard is quite minucious on their calculations and I doubt they could tamper with them. What they could always do is having different measures/quotas per concert; e.g. sold out for 1st Hartford show was 15K and for the 2nd it was 12K. San Jose was a given, she sold out 3 concerts easily on RIT there.
HolidayGuy
It's true, that certain sections could be closed on certain nights. It ook time for the second NY show to fill in, but it ended up doing so (I couldn't believe that a couple of people in my section didn't get there until like halfway through!) That's where "capacity" comes into play, too- and why, depending on stage setup, one act's concert can have a greater capacity than another's (Madonna's setup is larger than others, so her capacity will be smaller). It also can vary from night to night, I gather, as well.
