First of all, male sexuality held a very different social standing to female sexuality (especially at that time but STILL now). You are not a notoriously famous cultural icon. If you showed your dick it WOULDN'T mean anything. Madonnas appearance was meant to shock, to titilate, to intrigue, to excite. It wasn't just for attention. There are many other things she could have done for attention. She is pushing the square. Notice how nervous she is. It's obviously a collaboration between him and her and he is supporting her. Once she gets it over and done with she feels powerful and happy. You can see the change in her body language. It's beautiful to watch for so many reasons. It's exciting and brilliant to me.
