pj: Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I hate it Lola's cute though The original's a masterpiece compared to this one.
xoxoboi24 Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 You guys are some snobby bitches when it comes to Madonna stuff. I absolutely love the video. It suits the song sso much better. Loved the drag queens; loved all the past madonnas; loved lola; loved the group dancing; loved not seeing Jesus scene - it's just a fun video to a killer track.
Madfan58 Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Ew how embarrassing for me as a Madonna fan to watch all these freaks. No wonder Madonna wants nothing to do with her fans if these circus sideshows are the ones she sees. GROTESQUE I agree, most people who watch this will assume that all Madonna fans are the same. I don't like the video, I still prefer the first release. The only good thing is the Lola segments...
Zezwer Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I feel embarrassed... those fans are the reason she's not getting played on US radio TRUST me People will think that all her fans are lunatic faggots now... this version will give prove to even more prejudices... so it's not a good thing The only good part is the Lola part... the rest I could not watch because it's too embarrassing
xoxoboi24 Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 It really is amazing to me how so many are critizing the video for its "gay" content instead of embracing it as a thank you from Madonna.
Zezwer Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 It really is amazing to me how so many are critizing the video for its "gay" content instead of embracing it as a thank you from Madonna. Ehm? How is that hard to get? All stereotypes and prejudices of gays are in that video! What is there to like? As a gay and Madonna fan myself I feel embarrassed about it and it may have another purpose but it works in a bad way... Why should stereotyping gays and Madonna fans be something good?
funkydita Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 All stereotypes and prejudices of gays are in that video! What is there to like? Why should stereotyping gays and Madonna fans be something good? YOU'RE the one stereotyping the gays and it's your prejudices that are exposed.
GimmeSomeMo Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 YOU'RE the one stereotyping the gays and it's your prejudices that are exposed. How is that when all the fans that are given airtime in this are the ridiculous flaming ones vogeuing with their limp wrists?
Zezwer Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 YOU'RE the one stereotyping the gays and it's your prejudices that are exposed. ehm no... those are the stereotypes that are out there... I didn't make it up I think it's sad to make a video stereotyping gays and Madonna fans I KNOW that was not the purpose but that is how it will work if you're happy with that you can be that i'm not
Zezwer Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 How is that when all the fans that are given airtime in this are the ridiculous flaming ones vogeuing with their limp wrists? GimmeSomeMo gets to Zezwer's defense the world is falling apart
xoxoboi24 Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Exactly funkydita! The fans in the video are just having a blast. It's the viewers that impose stereotypes on them. What is so "gay" about dancing around to a very dancy song?! Is the dressing up as madonna the problem? Have you not been to a madonna concert?! Is it the drag queens? If so, sorry to tell you but they exist and many find them quite entertaining. I don't know. These subtle internalized homophobia reactions that I am reading about are truly troubling to me.
funkydita Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 How is that when all the fans that are given airtime in this are the ridiculous flaming ones vogeuing with their limp wrists? Well, GSM, if that's all you see then it's very telling.
xoxoboi24 Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 It's a video WITH fans in it not ABOUT fans or FOR fans. goddamn!! would having more girls and some straight guys have made you all feel better about it? Seriously I think some of you just want to find something to bitch about really.
GimmeSomeMo Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Well, GSM, if that's all you see then it's very telling. Its all that they SHOW. Oh and Paul Oakenfold 'dancing'.
Zezwer Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 It's a video WITH fans in it not ABOUT fans or FOR fans. goddamn!! would having more girls and some straight guys have made you all feel better about it? Seriously I think some of you just want to find something to bitch about really. What this video shows is stereotypes of gays It's not about having more girls and straight guys so basically what you're saying is that all gays are like this... and all Madonna fans that are guys are like this... the stereotypes of gays? Well that's sad...
funkydita Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Its all that they SHOW. Oh and Paul Oakenfold 'dancing'. Oh come on, it's not all they show at all. I spotted at least a few tits in there, not including Oakenfold.
GimmeSomeMo Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Oh come on, it's not all they show at all. I spotted at least a few tits in there, not including Oakenfold. HAHA. Ok I actually tried to watch it again but I simply CANT. The first three 'guys' with their too short too tight too transparent clothes BLIND ME.
Zezwer Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 How do you know that all of those fans in the video are gay? So equally, you are stereotyping. If you want to be naive that's fine
GimmeSomeMo Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 To see if I would look good in heels? I'm 6 3 and a shoe size 12 so I doubt it.

You HAVE to be a stereotype to be a Madonna fan? plz I think homophobia is to stereotype people... and I think stereotyping is the reason why homophobia can continue and grow
GimmeSomeMo Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Well its not that hard. Wear a kiddie size shirt, a womans hot pants, take a few sniffs of poppers and youre on your mincing way!
acko Posted September 17, 2009 Author Posted September 17, 2009 Well its not that hard. Wear a kiddie size shirt, a womans hot pants, take a few sniffs of poppers and youre on your mincing way! Only if u take me out on the town after..

That's the whole fucking point..people r who they r. It has nothing 2 do with u unless u wanna label everything. Fuck that whole attitude & do what you wanna do.
GimmeSomeMo Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Where did u get the idea that this video is about u. That's the whole fucking point..people r who they r. It has nothing 2 do with u unless u wanna label everything. Fuck that whole attitude & do what you wanna do. True. But its just in such bad taste. It makes me embarrassed for them. I mean why would a guy dress up as Madonna in the first place. BUT if they feel good doing it, more power to them I guess. Im just glad no one will see this video or the hate crime rate would triple.

It has nothing 2 do with u unless u wanna label everything. Fuck that whole attitude & do what you wanna do. Ehm? It's a video showing Madonna fans right? And basically it just shows the stereotypes! It's not about ME... gosh and you call me homophobic? and then basically what you say yourself is that gays who have fun equals these people? Is that not stereotyping aswell?? How can I be homophobic? I'm gay... I just don't happen to like how we've constantly stereotyped yes there are gays like these but there are also other type of gays... why just show this side?
