  1. name='XXL' timestamp='1346285220' post='1339473'][/b]

Rihanna is not even half her age and she's taking in 2/3 of MDNA's revenue so far with three times as many dates .....

Why even bring her up? Some of her tours lost money. She's no where near M.

M is just competing with herself here. If Gaga manages to top M, it would only be because she toured for years nonstop. And, it would be temporary, like when Cher briefly took M's touring record away.

  2. Lola's walking with the dancers. I think the one with the red jacket is Darrell (the one with the dark glasses from the GGW video). The one with the heart shirt might be Drew.

A while before the show started

    Its such a pretty stage!

  3. People have paid around 250 euros, slepts two nights on the sidewalk for some of them, travelled to see a 60 min show including 10 minutes of backdrops + 10 minutes of speech so 40 min of Madonna show.

Let me tell you what's happening in France right now is beyond what you can imagine, 90% of people, fans, non-fans are disgusted by what she has done tonight, watch the video here of her fans throwing things on the stage, screaming "refund refund" and "bitch bitch", i have no words. Watch the video till the end...

Its not that big of a deal. They are not hating Madonna, the fans looked like they were enjoying the actual show, they hate that the show was too short. The hate is coming because they wanted MORE Madonna. So, its really not that big of a deal.

Anyways, in a few days no one will remember that incident.

  4. I'm going to quote this not because I give a shit about your opinion but because first, I want to highlight your negative crap and trolling and second, because I want you to see this a few months from now when the MDNA Tour total boxscore breaks the Sticky and Sweet record.

You can quote me. I wasn't being negative, I was being realistic. Based on the dates and the early box scores, it does not look like she will top s&s. I hope you are right and I'm wrong. MDNA is a much better tour. This is the tour that shoud be seen by everyone, not s&s.

Regarless, like I said, it will be a very successful tour, just likely not enough to break her own record. She might though if she adds more dates, as is, it does not look likely.

It's what I like doing, I'm always looking at everyone's box scores. I probably pay more attention to box scores than anyone else in this entire forum.

You're ultrasensitive when it comes to Madonna. An objective opinion is better than a loon opinion that doesn't look at things realistically.

  5. I think that she might've sold more for a particular date(s), but as long as the expected number is met, then that's what's reported. I think that happened in Russia for SST. There were 50-55kk people there, but the box office number was less than 30k probably because that's the expected sell out number.

Till the official box scores come out, theres a lots of guessing going on. Any number you read before the box scores is likely an informed guess.

As for the sellouts, the promoter can report any capacity number they want. They do this for everyone, though.

This tour will be a big success, but likely won't break any records.

  6. Madonna does her job, the Press do their job and we express our disgust / delight. The world keeps turning. :newspaper:

Exactly, the day they stop talking about her is the day she should be worried. The entire media caring this much over a nipple is positive. It shows the mainstream media still cares about everything she does.

  7. That's the highly of this tour, the backdrop videos on the gigantic screens. They are what makes this tour special and what makes it so asthetically pleasing to look at.

This tour is going to look amazing on BluRay! Hopefully HBO is interested!

  8. But oh dear at the deluded monsters crapping on still about their reductive leader. They are really beyond stupid. :banghead:

They truly are, they go on and on about Gaga being the new queen of pop. That alone is setting her up to fail. There will never be another queen of pop. Similarly to the way there will never be another king of pop. That's MJ. He's gone and there will never be another. If a female pop star comes along that has M's longevity, she will likely be called something else and will likely be different.

  9. The stage design is truely amazing and definately represents the maximum of what you can achieve with modern technolgy at the moment. Quite frankly, you don't need a styrofoam castle when you can create something like THIS on screens. What the creative arts department and its programmers did here is AMAZING und revolutionary. The 3D effects :dramatic: It's nothing short of the gold standard for this kind of productions and once again she sets the bar higher. They say "only the sky is the limit". Well, obviously Madonna took this literally and shows you can go even higher as seen in this Material Girl/Give it to me sequence.

Anyway, this is not for everyone. The budget for the opening scene alone must have been insane. But it' so worth it.

This was also a power play by Madonna. Similar to U2's claw in the rock world, M's team used her reliable mega boxscore numbers to secure a huge budget to get her a stage that only a megastar of M's stature can afford. Other pop stars can try to request a stage like M's, but the answer will be "its too expensive." You can also tell she paid for the best, all those videos that were used for the show were all custom made for her show. That alone can't be cheap. The lighting was also the best that's ever been used for a pop concert. Madonna truly did a show only she could do.

  10. I know why everyone else is bashing S&S but why are you? S&S will always be special for me because it was the first time I saw Madonna and Candy Shop live with male dancers in sheer socks! I can't believe I'm alive today to write this.

Compared to her other tours, S&S looks mediocre. It feels like it was rushed. I don't feel it represents M well. But, if you compare S&S to what the other pop stars are doing, then S&S is a great tour. For M though, I feel its one of her worst tours. The sublime feel of MDNA makes it even more obvious. It makes S&S look even worse.

This tour truly comes at the best time. During an era when people are saying she's old, that Gaga is the new queen... etc. she comes out with arguably one of the best pop tours in history. This tour shows everyone why she is truly the queen of pop. The stage alone will be talked about for decades to come, similarly to the way people always bring up U2's claw. MDNA = the DNA of the pop world.

  11. Hopefully they add more dates and extra legs to this tour. This is the tour the masses need to see, not S&S. This tour showcases M at her best, arguably the best pop concert stage in the history of music and one of the best pop concerts in history. It might even surpass Blonde Ambition. I can't say for sure though till I see the concert in full.

  12. FUCKING AWESOME!

Yeah, this tour is M at her best. I was kinda expecting a mediocre tour, like S&S, but this show seems to be much more artistic. Attention was paid to the little details, that's why its so impressive.

From what I've seen thus-far, Madonna exceeded my expectations, which is something I did not expect to be saying.
