So she is performing on Fallon, @Mensch?
-
Well, if it hits No.,2 in the UK , it will be the first time a Madonna studio album hits No. 1 in the USA and not the UK. Four Madonna albums- including ROL- hit the top in the UK and not the USA, so there's some catching up to do.

Has Cooper mentioned that M will be on his show? And is it Anderson 360?
-
Lawdy, Madonna should just not appear at all, if this is the kind of reaction fans have. One never knows what she's going to do, and for those who wanted to risk that ridiculous admission price without even an official confirmation of the performer... well, that's the risk taken. At least she is appearing and performing. The performance is a tiny percentage of the event, after all.
"Vogue," given its impact on the community, is the only 100% *must* for this type of event. And she mentioned that she "might" do it in the GN the interview, so it's likely going to be there. Do you really think otherwise that she's thinking in a pandering mode, like, "I'm going to perform the songs they want to hear"? She doesn't do that for her tours, so why in the world would she do it for a small performance? If she wants to go out there and perform "Oh Dear Daddy," "Hallelujah" and Ain't No Big Deal" to complete the set, let her do it.

The Mojo review won't be posted online? Also- M is interviewed in the August edition, but it doesn't say the album's reviewed, unless the review appears within the interview article.
-
Mensch- I don't recall Janet J. and Whitney H., doing that many songs the years they performed? Cher did just three, but Deborah Cox also performed a handful, from what I remember. And the two of them were majorly spaced out.
Not surprised at all if it's just four songs- more than five would have been a surprise, even if she is the only one performing that day.

^Thanks for posting.

Yes, the Boss is a sensible choice for Father's Day gifting.
-
Controversialdonna back in full force.
-
The Ghost- the album is not "free" with tickets in the USA- the amount is worked into the expensive prices.
-
Ordered the Pride shirt- even though it said available until 6/14, and still shows in the shop.
-
He's a vile "person," indeed. talks out of his arse and has no clue about anything. Among many errs- ticket bundles have nothing to do with iTunes or Amazon rankings, for one. And no dance songs on the album? Uh, OK lol
-
^Yep, I just checked- same writer and review. For sure it shouldn't count twice.
And, nope, neither count (easy to be tricked if you look at the Movies list of publications lol)
-
^That's actually from the Associated Press.
-
The Associated Press and Chicago Sun-Times reviews will probably bring the score down below 70. More positive reviews that *count* where are ya?
-
Definitely one of the more "pure-pop" tracks on the album. Good stuff.
-
One of the album highlights, for sure. Love how it turns into a disco number.
-
Apparently redeemed albums have not been shipped out yet. Oy lol
-
Ended up getting it at Target, after all (redemption CD still hasn't arrived- anyone actually get theirs by/on delivery date?)
She's taking us on a trip, indeed. Intriguing, enjoyable listen (listened to it just once thus far).
-
After picking up the deluxe edition at Target and arriving home, I will listen. And hopefully the redemption CDs will be at the mailbox .
EDIT: I received an email saying none were available lol Oy. I had already purchased "Medellin" from iTunes, so I guess I'll get the deluxe from there if Target comes up short.
-
^Yes, saw that after. Thanks.
-
How is that average 73, when the average of the numbers is actually a bit lower than that? Unless some are weighted differently.
-
Year-end lists and such may be a better gauge of an album's critical showing vs. initial reviews- as, months later )for an album released earlier in the year), critics go back to it and hail it as one of the year's best. COADF did OK in year-end lists, but not where near as well as ROL and Music. The three post-COADF albums did not fare all that well on the YE features.

That "Madame X Meets the Press" day apparently consisted of many interviews- she's done those before, whether for music, MDNA Skin Line, a movie, etc.

Thanks, Mensch.
Confessy- maybe it won't be a "traditional" performance.
