Ms. Paula is indeed closing out the show tonight (Billboard itself reported as much), so maybe M&M will be in the middle somewhere.
-
It's not too much of a stretch to think a song with the title "I Rise" would be an anthem, in whatever form.
-
Access is reporting Paula Abdul is the show's closer, so where will that leave M&M?
-
Hopefully the Queen will deliver another memorable outing.

The USA only accounting for ~ 11.5% of the total YouTube numbers for 4/19-4/25- that would be lower than I would expect. Where are these figures found?
-
Ohhhh- then why the big jump for 4/25, if it doesn't include the video? The 4/24 gains would make sense if the video weren't included ,as the gains weren't that high.
-
Those YouTube stats are for for audio and video combined? If so, that would be 1.286m for the USA. But, the gain on Wednesday, given the video premiere, looks like it should have been more.
-
If it charts, I'd think it would be near the bottom. The sales figure probably won't be much higher than last week's 5,000 (if it ends up higher), and airplay isn't a factor.
All depends on overall activity, too. There was no big streaming album released last week, where tons of debuts from one act will debut on the chart."Bitch (I'm Madonna)" charted at 84, with 2.6 million U.S. streams and 13K in sales that week. Streaming has since increased.
One never knows for sure.
-
Spotify streams finish at 4,283,016 for the week- if ~ 23.5% come from the USA, that would be ~ 1 million and change.
YouTube stats for the audio were 3.573m through Wednesday- if it's a similar percentage, that would perhaps be ~900K+ for the USA for the week. So, with the video, maybe a streaming total of around 3 million from those outlets for the week.

Very nice video. The Queen's still got it. But, did they forget the accent over the "i" in he opening credits? Intentional?
-
Hopefully the video gets added to streaming outlets shortly after the premiere. Since regular MTV doesn't play videos that often, can't imagine there's any "exclusive" rights to it. lol
-
Very nice of MTV Classic to have a 24-hour Madonnathon leading up to the video- like the old days of MTV. (MTV Live also, though I don't get that channel).
-
Saw the commercial, as well, during Drag Race- two times, I think. A DJ on Philly 98.1 said it was brilliant to premiere the video on MTV-= that it felt so '80s.

Nice nod to Velma Von Tusselle.

Confessit- did you miss the AL album cover?
-
^You can buy *just* the song, without pre-ordering the album? Why were some saying the opposite?
-
So one cannot buy the song right now without pre-ordering the album, correct?
-
The release did say other tracks would be released before the album drops, so it may not necessarily mean another track will be worked a a single?
-
^If so, smart.
-
Rebel- bitch, she may be Madonna, but at 60, the chances of huge chart success are limited. If it happened, it would be a big, pleasant surprise.
-
Any ideas if the single's getting any kind of airplay promotion?
-
Those are the actual song titles? Wonder which would be the one filmed in the club - perhaps "I Rise."
-
These mid-week releases for the song and video are interesting- wonder if there's going to be an airplay promotion in the USA.

WOGL in Philadelphia (Classic Hits station) mentioned the album a few times this morning during its "buzz"segments, along with the weekend's other big events. Things like the Queen of Pop is making a comeback, mentioning her saying the album will not sound like anything else, etc. The station plays Madonna regularly.
