  1. i agree. the way she sings "yeah" is very "slow." and i agree she sounds good on the bridge, but i don't see why they couldn't have traded lines there. it feels a bit off balance to have her sing the second verse and then the bridge. maybe if they'd given her the first verse it would have made more sense. but still think it's weird that she has more time singing on the song than madonna. physical singles would have helped for sure. sabrina's not as big of a streaming force as some believed - don't get me wrong, she has had a nice string of hits but it's because she was the moment, not because she's too big to fail like someone like taylor. not everything she releases is automatically a smash. i also think the song itself was a hurdle (especially in the US but probably less so in the UK). still, a more disco-y sound would probably have done better in both countries.
  2. this is my current C2 playlist (swapped a couple of album versions for remixes and dropped RML): I Feel So Free (Peggy Gou Energy Mix) Good for the Soul One Step Away Bring Your Love (Afterhours Mix) Danceteria Everything Love Sensation (Afterhours Radio Edit) Love Without Words Bizarre School Fragile My Sins Are My Savior Betrayal The Test L.E.S. Girl Bring Your Love (Twilight Mix) Bring Your Love (Peaktime Dub Remix) Love Sensation (Salute's Infinite Passion Remix) Love Sensation (Floorplan Mix)
  3. not hits, songs. same for the hot 100. him and taylor and so many others have reached the top 10 from album bombs. those aren't "hits" though.
  4. tell it! nobody should be allowed to express an opinion unless they have a PhD in the subject.
  5. i think it was pretty clear what you meant. BYL is a bop but C2 is just that good of an album that it's in the lower half for most people. i disagree that more videos aren't coming though. it's very possible promo for "danceteria" was paused because of the LS remix, which i don't think was part of the original plan. even though i'm hard on warner when they make silly forced errors, they're rolling with the punches pretty well and every time i'm scratching my head about what's going on, usually there's an explanation. "danceteria" is starting to get some airplay on dance radio in the US, so hopefully they will push it harder after LS has its moment (in the UK at least, which should be brief).
  6. if it's signed by both that's a pretty big deal, but yeah they could have done a dozen or something.
  7. i pointed out that i think they mean "below average" on the album, not below average compared to what's the radio or even madonna's discography. anyway, i'm not the one who said it so i don't know why i'm replying - the reaction was just overkill.
  8. they mean "below average" when you rank the entire album. only like three or four forum members included it in their top 3 and it got zero votes in the "favorite song" poll, so it seems plausible. have we done a forum track ranking yet? maybe we should!
  9. we could do a poll to see where fans stand (i got the impression it's not near the top) but do we know how critics regarded it? i know the album got mostly glowing reviews, but i don't recall BYL being singled out as being among the best tracks.
  10. she deserves both. there are definitely standout tracks.
  11. better yet they shouldn't have called it "Afterhours Radio Edit."
  12. that would be ideal but it takes time to manufacture. it's obvious this collab came together pretty quickly and wasn't planned in advance.
  13. what does playlisted by the BBC mean? i'm talking about spotify playlisting.
  14. streaming would help too, right? i don't understand why there's like zero playlisting for this, even in the UK.
