This is shocking and quite random.
At least five people have been killed and two others injured in the Norwegian town of Kongsberg by a man armed with a bow and arrow, police said.
The attacker’s motive was not yet clear, Aas said, but police were not ruling out terrorism. “One person has performed these actions alone,” he said. “It is natural to consider whether it is an act of terrorism. But the man has not been questioned and it is too early to come to any conclusion.”

Wasn't it their crackdown on the LGBT community that started all this off? I thought the EU threatened some kind of sanctions?
And I read the Danes, Dutch and Italians were all considering leaving in the last few years.
But this is the only one where it's because of a clash with the EU.

People are insane. Imagine denouncing vaccines but jumping at this.
There is some evidence that it works and it's currently being looked at which I think it's driving this but yes, still doesn't mean this version is suitable for human consumption.
It's quite shocking to see how people have behaved over the past couple of years.

There's a very famous quote that you should never invade Afghanistan as you won't win although I can't find the original source.
I don't see how there could be a positive outcome whoever was in charge of withdrawing the US troops although Biden seems particularly unprepared.

No it really is the financial institutions but it's because there was child porn being loaded up. IIRC they're not a publicly listed company so it won't affect share price and perhaps they can create a business based around content creators like fitness instructors etc and lose the porn tag. More like Instagram. There are plenty of porn replacements.

There's actually people on there like fitness instructors who can charge for their services which is a good idea but can they grow that enough to have a business?
The reason given is that they were not stopping explicit content featuring under eighteen year olds.
I wonder what the value of the company will drop by!

The opening ceremony was really underwhelming. Obviously there are restrictions as to what one can do but with a budget supposedly of $160 million for the opening and closing ceremonies and we got that?

There is some logic here. The idea is that it's summer so hospitals are less busy with other infections like the flu so can deal more easily with an increase in admissions, most of the most vulnerable are vaccinated and it's mainly the young who are getting it now who are less likely to require hospitalisation.
And honestly, I think they're at the point where if people who were offered the vaccine but didn't take it and get ill, that's their own problem.

I read a comment that said this is literally climate change in action. There's reports that it's affecting that area of Miami quite badly.
They were repairing the roof so all I can assume is that they thought any issues would be cosmetic but the idea of the building collapsing would seem impossible.
But just awful for all those involved.

- Tina Kindred, 53, was acting 'out of control,' according to reports, which led to a response from the Ocala Police Department on Monday
- Kindred can be seen naked standing on top of a restaurant bar
- She begins trashing the bar, pulling each bottle down and smashing them
- Kindred emerges out of the bar and begins to approach a police officer
- When she gets close, the cop deploys a taser, knocking Kindred to the ground
- The cop yells at her to get on her stomach as he threatens to use it again
- Outside of THC, however, Kindred did not appear to have any narcotics in her system after she was treated by medical staff
- She has been charged with aggravated battery on law enforcement, as well as felony criminal mischief after doing thousands of dollars of damage

Literally in the last hour, a tory MP has been stabbed to death at his constituency surgery (where people can talk to their MP) by a 25 year old Somalian.
This is the second MP murdered in six years since the killing of Jo Cox. Truly shocking.
