Didn't they announce the hosts ages ago? They probably thought she would have won all the awards by now and be relevant, instead of the flop she is.
Would be great if M turned up as Harry's date, grab all the headlines.

Well it’s not a mask to be worn. She’s not testing to see what a mess looks like. It’s a plastic guard that you cut out a hole for the lips, that lets you spray colour etc over the lips, and then you take the mask away so it’s just the lips that have been covered.

Seems to be the case. I think GMALY was only released like a day or two before superbowl (ignoring the leak), and the album name was only the month before (?), so I guess we'll need to find something to fill in some time before then. At least the Lady Vegas thread is giving us lots to laugh at.
But then again, superbowl was a bit weird with one song that clearly no-one knew. It would be good if everybody already knew the song performed. If it is the place to launch the new single, I expect the performance to be completely over the top, and it to be used as the de facto video to get in all the views.

Wasn’t there a rumour of 2 singles being released at the same time, so maybe both performed at ESC. in terms of actual release date, surely we’ll get to hear things before then - it’s promo, I don’t think the producers would want to use the event to launch a new song when the focus is supposed to be on the competition songs. But perhaps the reason we haven’t got any info so far is because they were waiting to see if this was locked in, and now that it is we will hopefully get more info on everything.

Well tbh Madonna has always been a bit hit and miss with single selection. I can just imagine her bringing in a quickly produced niche track to stick on the B side if Keep It Together with no idea.
But the execs havent always been that good either. Could have had more hits with physical attraction, where's the party, LDLHA (the first time around), time stood still, ....

Perhaps she will release a fado album to finish her contract, and then release a dance record straight afterwards.

Maybe, but I think the producers are very strict about what can and cant happen, so any statement she wanted to make would be vetted beforehand.
