I do not think the problem was her voice in this instance, rather the in house monitoring that probably failed. I've re-watched the Met Gala and that was note perfect from beginning to end. It seemed as if she couldn't hear herself and tried valiantly to get through it. You can see she is not happy but still she carries on like the brave warrior she is.
I think people forget that she wrote the song, so she has a good idea what notes to sing.

The only reason why I avoid "I Rise" for now is because it is the final song on the album. "Crave" and whatever else, I'm ready for them
I was being so good at avoiding "I Rise" , but it was played twice on the radio when I was at work and I couldn't escape! Aggghh!

Can't people wait 3 days???

So Future is the new track that will be performed. Didn't see that coming!

Now that's what I call Brunette.
Stunning !

So we still know very little about the album. However, based on her interview with Billboard, it appears that Madame X will not be a concept album (she claims not to know that that means lol). So maybe each song does not correspond to one of Madame X’s personas after all. That was a fun theory while it lasted.
Yeah, I think you are right.
All the filmed footage is still puzzling me. Maybe it is part of something bigger, in the same vein as Secret Project?

Thanks flexy, I read about it here, I thought Fuana with no N is something else, so it's misspelled in the news lol
You're welcome.

Madonna's gonna rehearse Rescue Me for the tour and one week before it starts she will drop it from the setlist and add Candy Shop lol .
She'll do a medley.
Rescue Me from this Candy Shop Inferno!

What does Fuana (bonus track) mean? Thanks
It's an up-tempo accordion based dance music originating from Cabo Verde

It happens to me quite the same when I go to her instagram's page (I have no feeds because I haven't instagram) and I see she posted something new 4 minutes before.. so I start thinking there is a "connection". Then I think it sounds weird, but I like nonetheless.. lol
Yes! I love it.
We are all connected to M!

Really synchronistic moment there. I had just been listening to The Immaculate Collection earlier and 'Rescue Me' came on, and I thought, I wonder if she will do this on the next tour?
Cut to me watching this interview with my jaw on the floor!

okay, one last time, and I do hope people READ this time, because sometimes this forum feels like a broken record asking the same questions over and over again!!!
The info about Crave so far:
* Crave is the 2nd single
* Crave is a dance track, produced by Mirwais
* Crave will most likely have a disco feel to it (not 100% sure about this, but 95%)
* Crave will have a music video, the one shot in LA with the drag queens
* Chances are high that this will be performed at Eurovision (and thus be the controversial performance, rumoured earlier!)
* As confirmed by Madonna in a backstage interview at the BBMA’s, the song is about desire and longing!
* Crave has not been leaked yet! Nothing "leaked" from this album so far!Thank you clarifying that.
This should be pinned to the top of the post!

Btw I always miss the flat boots because she dances so much free on them! Glad Accordion Madonna wears them!!!!!
I love them. Reminds me of late 80,s, early 90's and you are so right about her movement being free when wearing them.

Does anyone think this could be what she meant by 'Magic' all along? Maybe augmented reality plays a bigger part in the Madame X project?
Fun fact.
Maluma's first album was titled Magia.
Not sure she had met him when she started #magic.

There was some briefly but thankfully it quickly got drowned out by the continuing flood of adoration.
Sorry for bringing it back to the surface.
I'll try not to do that in future.

I have a zero negativity policy when it concerns M. Any criticism I have is only ever directed at her stupid critics and inferior copycats.
I have a zero negativity policy , period.
I am very naive at times but that's me!

What negativity? We are in a bliss coma.. Maybe you are confused with other forum?
I think it was in earlier posts. Some people complaining that they were underwhelmed by her performance and thinking that the holograms didn't add anything.
However, I never focus on the negative, so I'll join everyone else in the bliss comas.
-
Well, I've only watched the official video, but I don't understand the negativity from some people on here. Madonna served an absolutely breathtaking, beautiful performance which was very understated and effortless.
The holograms were absolutely integral and not gimmicky, as she is singing about being somebody else in the song, and more importantly they introduce the concept of the multiple identities of Madame X.
On a lighter note, I was pretty chuffed I had identified two of the Madame X holograms from that first post!
2 out of 4 ain't bad!

Once again, I love how grateful he is for Madonna. What a class act. He warms my heart. No wonder why Madonna is so happy. What great hints for tonight too.
His English is good. I can see a crossover album coming.
