  1. Thank you! I was searching my brain trying to think who HDD was

Wow I guess I underestimate the power of country music if a regular album from Luke Bryan would outsell Madonna!

Its huge and it's probably also why Taylor Swift is as big as she is right now. Even in NYC, there's a country bar that I've been to a couple of times (forced to with friends) and it's been really packed. I was shocked that many NYers would be into that category of music

  2. I'm already tired about people complaining about this album!! No guideline! No strong theme!! etc. This album is already a masterpiece. You know the guideline, Madonna!! And even more, she said herself that every songs could be play only with a guitar and still be good!! We a rebel and a heart side on every songs. An album doesn't need a strong theme to be good, Rebel heart is the proof!

Exactly, the theme is rebel / heart which is why it doesn't make sense to not have the song Rebel Heart on any of the versions of the album. Anyway, this is all speculation, we'll see what happens soon enough...

  3. I know. I can read. And I still don't like it.

I understand what MerGirl is saying... she didn't twist what Tyson said or question his right to say it, just voiced that she didn't like his choice of a model of Iconic-ness. That's obviously her right to feel and express. I think the below post sums it up best.

The strangest thing to me is that out of all the possible models of charisma in world history he chose a dictator as his inspiration for a rap/adlib on a Madonna record. I mean what the fuck? Not only dictators and mass murderers are charismatic.

  4. No, Not for Madonna. During MDNA Guy Oseary always said the deluxe album was what they considered the MDNA album. Madonna doesn't care about the standard editions. And why should anyone tbh?

M and Guy O might view it that way, but I think loowee is right, the critics and general public will view the standard as THE album. If I remember correctly there were a few MDNA reviews that only reviewed the standard version of the album.

  5. I remember this was the case with Ellie Gouldings Lights album. Titled "Lights" yet the actual song "Lights" was a bonus track on the iTunes Deluxe Edition, it was later released as a single. I think it's some kind of marketing trick to make casual buyers (who the 14 track is aimed at) buy the single separately at a later date.

If that's true, it truly sucks that they are going for a marketing gimmick rather than presenting a self-contained whole on each version of the album. The standard would not be whole without the the title track. Its not just some random track, its her vision for who she is and what this album represents (as opposed to say Like A Virgin, which isn't representative of the album, it just happens to share the same name).

  6. Something tells me that this ain't right. I think there is some major confusion going on. They should honestly pull their shit together and delete that 14-track version. It's just messy and while doing that they should change the fucking sequencing because it makes no fucking sense. My god Interscope...what the hell are you doing again?

Somebody is really asleep at the wheel with this. It makes no sense to not have the title track on any version of the album. Hope they get their act together soon!!

  7. Is it possible that the version that was released IS the house version (just less house-y than the demo that leaked) and there's a more EDM version? Because if I hadn't heard the demo, I would say LFL is pretty house-y.

And regarding Avicii, I doubt anything bad happened between him and M. It's more likely that when he got sick she started moving in a different direction musically and it's obvious his tracks wouldn't have fit with the new sound.

    Good points

  8. yah i can see why kanye produced illuminati the way he did...but i cant imagine what he's done to WAOM. it shall be interesting to see.

Illuminati has a certain darkness that fits the song, but I don't see it fitting WAOM. I guess that was the risk in listening to the demo, I love it so much the way I've already been introduced to it. Anyway I hope the melody and beautiful chorus are intact in the final version.

  9. God she looks amaze in this shoot! And I really love all the clothes/accessories too. I don't really follow their lines, but is this a departure from the norm for them because those gowns in the last campaign were hideous...aside from the hideous model

It truly is a fantastic campaign. I love the pic with the watch so much, I would buy that watch now if I could afford it

  10. Not sure what to believe at the moment, but I've also stumbled upon claims that the 19-track edition is the Standard, while the 25-track version is the Deluxe set. No talks of any Super Deluxe edition.

The 14-track CD would then be the clean edition of the album, entirely omitting 5 of the explicit tracks.

That sounds very plausible. There are 6 explicit in the 19 song track list, so whichever was able to be reworked to clean version would have stayed.

  11. Nooo! It's got some oriental / turkish vibes going on, definitely a very unique sound for her. Yes sound-wise Isaac probably comes pretty close to it.

Even though it's not one of my personal faves, you're in for a treat! Definitely a very very interesting venture when it comes to the sound.

I'm picturing something like that part in Erotica with the middle eastern sound... Can't wait to hear it!!!
