  1. Just wanna resurrect the idea for the video to feature the rebirth of Detroit from a ghost town to coming back to solvency, and that it features the Detroit based community organizations M has highlighted and supported this past year. However, if they decide to go a more cinematic route, I hope it's done in a grand spaghetti western style!

  2. Yeah honestly guys JR tickets are really hard to get, Graham Norton ones are easy to get. JR audience is ALL media with a FEW fans, dont be disappointed if you have the 24th recording because you never know. I havent heard anything yet about my tickets :(

    Good Luck!!!!

Maybe she will perform Rebel Heart?

Tbh I would be happy with ANY song from that glorious album. Imagine for example a live acoustic Joan of Arc!

That would be great!! Any songs she sings I'd be happy with also, I love to one degree or another all of them.

I hope they broadcast the interview in the US

  3. Maybe we should rank her sketches on SNL?

    1) Coffee Tawk

    2) Marika

    3) Truth or Dare

    4) Happy Birthday Mr President

    5) the "Joan Collins" one

    6) Princess Diana

    7) That telephone call one

Although I must admit I never found 6 and 7 funny.

Do I forget about any other?

I like the one where she pokes fun about the photographers at her wedding with Sean Penn, and each sides family members.

  4. I know this is about UK, but there is a lot of buzz for this kind of discrimination. However this has been happening in US since a lot of years and it seems to be normal. Fans complain but no change at all. Do you think this is because is something not seen in UK until now and of course due Madonna?

I think partly in the UK it is because BBC Radio 1 is a public radio station funded by tax dollars, whereas in the US it is private corporations. The public is offended in this situation because tax dollars are being used to fund discrimination. But your point is valid, it has been happening for a long time in the US (including against Madonna) but nothing has changed until now. Hopefully this incident will be trigger a debate about ageism in radio (as well as other areas). It's a long overdue conversation. As many others have noted, I don't see this as any different than other forms of discrimination, such as based on race or religion, however it seems to be deemed ok if the discrimination is based on age, and to a certain degree on gender. Hopefully this is the beginning of change in these practices.

  5. This was really hard. This album is going to be so amazing. It might become my favorite M album. It already has five songs that are amongst my favorite ever M songs, and more than half the album is still not released!

1-2 (tie): Devil Pray and Joan of Arc (rank with her best ever)

3-5 (tie): Unapologetic Bitch and Hold Tight and Ghosttown (among her best ever top 20)

6: Living for Love (loving it more so after the Grammy performance and the great remixes, esp the Offer Nissim Drama remix)

7-9: Iconic and Bitch I'm Madonna and Illuminati (play them on repeat when in the right mood, but sometimes skip)

  6. SO FAR TODAY

    USA

    CANADA

    Zero spins in Canada.

So, before talking shit about the US and being mad, have a look at countries like Canada, Australia etc.. At least it is getting some spins in the US!

The station party105 listed above is in the NYC metro area. We should all request them to play it. Their twitter handle is @party105fm

From their website they seem like they would have a positive response to requests. They even have the LFL video as the featured video on their website.

  7. i agree, but I also think Madonna shouldn't try courting radio any longer either. Release awesome music whether it's radio friendly or not. Make online deals and contests to get it popular there. License songs out for video games, TV shows and movies. Perform on popular shows. Strike social media. So far, her social media game is on point this era.

Madonna may be old, but U know what's even older, and really isn't keeping up with the times? Fucking radio!

Screw radio. They're digging their own grave even faster by not responding to what people are requesting due to their pre-conceived notions and prejudices.

Let's take control of what we want to hear!! Go to youtube or vevo and play the LFL video. Sign up for Spotify, if you are not already on it, and play the songs there. Those spins also count towards the charts. You don't need a paid account to play music while online (offline requires paid account).

You can use this playlist and make sure to put it on repeat!! https://play.spotify.com/user/nukso/playlist/2aQbzXIE8KSQb0fwo6fYIK

  8. I'm so happy this article finally got written. It sure took long enough for any major media site to finally start to address this topic of ageism. I agree with the author that both Madonna and Annie Lennox, as well as everyone else, should be free to grow and evolve and age however they choose to. I just think it's a pity Annie Lennox wasn't as open-minded and tolerant in her thinking when she made those comments after M's Interview mag pictures. I remember being so inspired by her when Sing came out and found the recent comments very disappointing.
