  1. ^ exactly re the divorces etc.

Surely there will come a time when an elected leader will have nudes out there? Professional or private. So many dick pics...!

I actually find the idea that a potential First Lady has nudes out their quite indicative of our times and representative of American/western culture.

Surely with my generation (millennials) there will be due to Snapchat and Instagram, etc. There's not filter among anyone my age these days. The standard will be much different once my generation is old enough to hold positions of power. There will have to be some new way of judging candidates or something because with my generation, you can find out literally everything a person has said or done online with the click of a button. Society will look very different in the future.

  2. ^^ That's EXACTLY how I feel about it. I could care less about Melania posing nude - more power to her, honestly! It's just the blatant hypocrisy and blatant racism and double standard applied to Michelle Obama that I find to be disgusting and abhorrent. Michelle is objectively truly a remarkable woman. She's superbly educated, well-spoken, kind, caring, and hard-working. Why so many people despise makes no sense to me other than the fact that it's because of the color of her skin. I have no issues with Melania being a model and posing nude but the fact that Republicans have no issue with it but they find an issue with Michelle at every single turn is what I find to be problematic and revealing.

  3. Clinton and Warren are literally speaking at the same place today....

I'M PRAYING. Tim Kaine would be an unmitigated DISASTER for this campaign. Hillary still needs to court the progressives/Bernie supporters.

Warren and Clinton are both in Florida right now while Tim Kaine is in Boston. It MUST be her.

  4. It won't dissolve into 4 separate nations. Scotland,s assembly only want to stay in the EU in case they go independent and they have the support of EU trade deals and EU bailout if they needed it. I don't understand how people can support Scotland to leave Britain but Britain should stay a part of the EU. Only one country should get their own way based on their minority. Like it or not the majority voted for BREXIT. The majority of Scotland votes to stay in Britain.

But the vast majority of Scotland itself has voted to stay in the EU and at the time of the Scotland independence referendum, Britain's EU membership was the main draw for most voters who voted to keep Scotland in Britain. At this point, I would support Scotland's decision to leave Britain and join the EU independently. Britain's completely fucked them in every which way and they should be ashamed.

  5. So Scotland should have independence, no one else? You are away 4 nations make up the UK, not just one.

Well, I don't know about the others but it's clear to me that Scotland overwhelming vote to stay in the EU and though at the time I was pleased to see that they voted to stay in the UK, I now completely understand their frustration. My guess is that the UK could dissolve into 4 separate nations. All I know is that it's going to be some VERY rough waters ahead for the entire Western world and this could have same very negative adverse effects on the US election if a global recession indeed arises out of this.

  6. Scotland want another referendum again :rotfl:

As they should. England's an embarrassment for voting so strongly to leave. Scotland should get out of dodge as quickly as possible and rejoin the EU. England's future is completely and utterly fucked. From the world's greatest superpower to a world' greatest pile of shit. How terribly sad.

  7. I started this race liking Bernie and Hillary pretty equally. I grew up in Vermont and had met Bernie several times and I always respected him and, as someone who thinks of myself as a progressive, I believed in his ideals and his vision. Now, living in NYC, I had the opportunity to work at Hillary's campaign HQ in Brooklyn and jumped at the chance, by then mostly because I thought it would be a cool opportunity and look great on my resume. Still at this point, I liked Bernie a lot and remember being offended by the few co-workers who would make jokes at his expense. As time went, though, and after I got to know Hillary personally and the people close to her, I really saw how completely misunderstood she is and how passionate and hardworking and driven she really is.

However, as this campaign has gone on I've come to see that Bernie doesn't care about the Democratic Party, and I'm not even sure that he cares so much about defeating Trump. He cares so much about his own a message, a message that's really good but in practice, unachievable. The fact that he's willing to bring this race to the convention and further split this party and further allow vitriol and sexism and misogyny to be hurled at Hillary and further add fuel to Trump's fire, disgusts me. I've never felt so far apart from my peers. It's so divided on our side of the party and I HATE seeing that. This is a moment we should all be celebrating, a historic moment, and we should all be coming together to defeat evil in November. Yet, we're dealing with this fucking bullshit. I've gone from having an immense amount of respect for Bernie to having very little. He's hijacked this party and is set to destroy it. Congratulations.
