Crazy Now perhaps my fave on the album, it's so slinky!

I hope we get new tour merch and it's available to buy online.

Maybe she doesnt want to "profit" off of the video or something. It was there before though.
No it’s never been on the iTunes Store to buy

I appreciate your explanation, but you did state they were sort of alike in how you viewed them. My bad for asking you to share your opinion in greater detail. I obviously misunderstood, but it was an invitation to debate. That’s what a forum is. Prime example of why there is no longer much of an active Madonna forum.
I said why I compared it to IB (in my opinion) - it's not an album that I can see myself putting on in the future when I just want to hear some Madonna music as they are more concept or "theatrical" albums that don't suit a casual listen outside of a couple of tracks (in my opinion) - and no need to be passive aggressive!

@Bretticus is a great Madonna fan who is just giving his honest opinion and saying that he personally feels the same way about Madame X and I'm Breathless. He does not need to explain any further about how he feels and was not overly critical. He has posted enough on this forum for us to know he is a dedicated fan.
thanks @Jazzy Jan
i didn’t realise I was critical at all! haha

I’m interested in hearing more about what you actually mean about it being like I’m Breathless. If we want to debate the quality of something, it seems we should be able to deepen our analysis a little more than this. Otherwise it’s just a matter of personal taste as already stated. It’s a fundamental issue in the lack of dynamism and detail within criticism of this album. I’m certainly not arguing that you can’t dislike it or find it a lesser work in her canon, but please make the effort to elaborate. Because it makes no sense to the other forum members if you don’t.
In my view, I’m Breathless and Madame X have nothing in common other than perhaps if the listener simply categorizes all genres outside of mainstream pop as inferior. One was a loose soundtrack to a period action movie that had its pastiche roots in jazz and musical theater with the addition of an infamous global house anthem. The entire album showcases Madonna as an agile and disciplined vocalist The other is a broadly stroked global genre-hopping, deeply personal album on which the level of meticulous vocal production is both its genius and its greatest flaw.
Please don’t put words in my mouth. I just said that like I’m Breathless, I think I will need to be in a particular mood to want to listen to MX in the future the same as I do with IB. Both are great albums, I didn’t state they were similar in any way nor did I state that I don’t like MX or IB either!

Err..
Maybe it's just not album you enjoy and you have to admit it to yourself.
I don't know what this talk is about having to be in a mood to enjoy Madame X. I for one don't have to be in any mood to listen to it, whenever I feel like it I will blast IDSIF or Batuka or whatever tracks I feel like listening right then. I don't need to listen to the album in full to enjoy it, but then again I don't do that in general.
Not at all, I love the album but apart from Medellin, Crave and Faz G it’s not a “casual listen” album for me personally. Err err err!
-
I’m still listening to it in full often as it’s still a new piece of work.... but I can see it becoming an album you only listen to every once in a while when you are in the mood. It’s kind of like I’m Breathless to me... doesn’t fit in with her other albums and isn’t something you’d just put on because you want to listen to some Madonna music.

To be able to go through all this material!

Haha, yes my Like a Prayer one I received was such bad quality. I regret ordering it, but too late now.

I kind of agree. She really need Pat Leonard classic M touch next. .
It's not 1989 buddy, a Pat Leonard track isn't going to be a radio hit!
The only way M will have another hit is to go the Whitney Higher Love route, with her vocals on a cover version over a generic dance beat by a current "DJ".

The era is kind of dead until the tour starts, but even then it's only in a few cities so not many people will get to talk about their experiences?
I'm still listening to MX daily though, such great music (except Bitch I'm Loca)!

The track would smash with a great video and a proper push, but doesn't look like that is going to happen.
Baffles the mind really.

The comments from Neil’s fans saying she should retire and is past it... the irony is delicious on several counts.

What is the point of a body double for scenes that just include her standing in the row of women?
Perhaps she was just busy on the day they filmed this footage, or unwell?

I emailed about my order and was told everything I ordered (Litho bundle, black vinyl, clear vinyl, standard cd, tote, scarf, necklace) is in the final stage of fulfilment and should ship "soon", however the eye patch won't be shipping until late September due to manufacturing issues. I've received 2 x $20 vouchers and a refund on my shipping costs - which was about $60AUD.
The MX logo pin has also shipped, so that's something I guess!

No, i'm serious. About the litography, it's some kind of thick paper poster with Madame X manifesto and somebody has hand-written that I have number 33 of 500. I highly doubt there's more than 35 sold
So you got what was advertised? What were you expecting?

I guess they'd also produce Mel B-less versions of the Spice Girls as they all sing but she raps huh?
Wannabe without the iconic rap?

The song does not seem to lend itself well to remixes - this is the only one I like so far. Miss Sixty Fantasy Remix
Would love it if she got Danny Tenaglia, Deep Dish, Sasha, Masters At Work, David Morales remixes. Their remixes for her in the past have been brilliant
That mix is terrible!
Casio keyboard on repeat with some old man singing instead of M.

You can order the bracelets by themselves at the official Australian Store, just not the Freedom Fighter one for some reason.

Hey guys - she's #1 in the US... shouldn't we be celebrating that instead of her "only being #2" in other countries?
Yes, her streaming numbers are abysmal, but given her place in the pop world post 50 years old that will never change unless one of her songs is attached to a viral dance or some novelty video. And do we really want her to get a top 10 hit single because of (for instance) a video of a kitten falling down the stairs to the tune of Bitch I'm Loca?

Are there any exclusives in there? So far I've seen Madonna pillows that aren't on the online store?
The pillows were on her online store prior to the Madame X stuff as with the black candle. Can’t see anything exclusive there apart from the signed flag which you can’t buy
