Where's Kyle Rittenhouse when you need him?

Ingo was in Baywatch wasn't he? They used to hype him up in the teen mags here in Aus when he was in a local soap

Australia is almost dead, we are so close to becoming China 2.0.
Both leaders of each major party are dipshits. Any room in New Zealand I wonder?

We had snow and hail here yesterday in our mountain/hill areas and the koalas from a local wildlife park were out enjoying it!
Here's an interesting story about how this park is using facial recognition to track and monitor the koala population here, which is lowering in number:

I wonder if Macron has answered our PM's phone calls yet?

It does feel like we've jumped from the frying pan into the fire with Biden in terms of real world issues. Obviously not all are of his doing and most have been festering for years, but none of this bodes well for the midterms or 2024. This country has no attention span, so if things really start to implode, just enough people may start to feel nostalgic for Trump to get him into the White House again.
When Trump is your better option, just give up.

Do I think Facebook and Google need to be taxed properly? Hell yes.
Do I think Facebook and Google need to monitor for hate speech and radicalisation better? Absolutely.
Do I think our government should demand private businesses to provide a service and to also pay for that supposed privilege? No way.
If the government's argument holds up, Facebook needs this newspaper content much more than the other way around. I don't think that's true, however, and neither does Facebook apparently.
Thanks to our incredibly weak opposition, Australia's government is not used to being told no or having its position questioned.
I think the guy in this video has it spot on.
Agree 100% with everything you said, it's laughable how arrogant our govt are being and how the media companies affected are calling Facebook the bullies and that they "threw a tantrum"

I don’t applaud them at all. They have blocked ALL news and government sites, legitimate ones, not just Murdoch scum. They have also taken down government sites such as health direct which informs many Australians of Coronavirus news and restrictions, vaccine information etc. Plus police sites, domestic violence help lines, , suicide helplines etc. Plus fire services and weather information - Queensland is coming up to cyclone season. A complete disregard to the health and information to Australians who use Facebook because Mark Zuckerberg won’t even negotiate as Google did. Oh and all the fake news, right wing crackpots and conspiracy theory news are still there. In a global pandemic, this is disgusting .
Yeah like I said poorly executed with all these non-news blocks, but I am glad they called this horrific govts bluff, being in bed with all the major news outlets in Australia and all. I am sure they will fix the issues with the blocking of other non-news outlets ASAP.

A mess and terribly executed, but I do applaud Facebook for doing this, might put a bit of a dent in the Murdoch stranglehold in Australia's media.

So what happens now? He's impeached but keeps being president and can nuke us all? I don't really grasp USA politics.
I believe the impeachment move has to go to the Senate now to vote on, but I don't know how quickly that happens?

Record label Mexican Summer has cut ties with Ariel Pink after the indie musician drew criticism for attending the pro-Trump rally in Washington D.C. earlier this week.
“Due to recent events, Mexican Summer and its staff have decided to end our working relationship with Ariel Rosenberg AKA Ariel Pink moving forward,” Mexican Summer tweeted Friday.

Our government here in Australia just "recommended against" gatherings of people more than 500+ as of Monday.
Monday... after a weekend which is the main time people go and gather in crowds more than 500+ people and are generally out and about more.
They really have no clue or no balls to make a firm decision, just making things up as they go along.

Hoping for a Madonna vocal or two on the new album perhaps

The hysteria in supermarkets is ridiculous and is getting worse each day as more Coronavirus cases get reported by the media. Look at this. This shopper ordered like 30 boxes of pasta today! It’s the flu you’ll get over within a week. You’re not going to be hunkering down in a nuclear bunker for many years!
Is anyone going to feel like eating pasta if they have flu like symptoms?

Australian supermarkets are running out of toilet paper because people think they will be shut away and will have nothing to wipe their asses with
