    You are 100% on the money Bill. The reason she is such a great performer and fascinating celebrity (aside from being multi talented obviously) is because she knows exactly how she looks when performing and was one of the reasons Camille Barbone first signed her.

    I feel the same way Bill. I’ve had a really tough 2019 and just recently lost my job to top it all off. One very kind friend of mine has been paying my rent for me, his generosity has been really heartwarming. If it wasn’t for Madame X I don’t know what I’d do.

    although I think she is releasing too many singles close to each other- I think she should release the second single (disco stomper) on 10th May, followed by the video on 17th then the Eurovision performance...

    3rd Single should be released after the Album goes out in June...

    I think I agree with you about releasing too many tracks too quickly. Yes it’s good promo but she’s risking flooding the market which can backfire because it confuses people. I think releasing the second single the day of or after Eurovision is more than enough to plug the album. Baring in mind it’s a very very busy time for new releases from female artists, I don’t want to see her get lost in the shuffle.

    Im considering doing things differently this time around and avoiding any of the new songs until the day of the album release. I loved Rebel Heart and it’s in my top 5, the listening experience just wasn’t the same. Even tho I avoided all the demos bar Rebel Heart and Inside Out, I’d still heard basically half the album by release day so the euphoria of a brand new Madonna album just wasn’t there. I miss the days of going to the store, buying the compact disc and laying down on my bed and taking in the new era on some big speakers and leafing through the booklet. Considering the wait between albums is gradually getting longer, I think I might do things the old fashioned way this time around.

    It sounds nothing like La Isla, nor  does it have the same or similar vibe. It’s like saying Material Girl and Ray of Light are similar because they are both pop and sung in English.

    I can’t stop looking at it also. You are completely right about it revealing something the more you look at it. I hope there are more images from that session in the booklet to put the picture into context, like a full body shot. I was bummed about the Rebel Heart booklet because the cover with the wires was so instantly iconic that I just wanted to see more of it but alas we didn’t.

    I was surprised by how mellow I’ve been about this era. I suppose because it’s been 14 months since we got the first pic of her in the studio but yesterday when the rollout began, it all hit me and I have been transported back in my mind over the last 24 hours to the emotions you feel at the start of a Madonna era, it’s indescribable and something only a Madonna fan can understand.This is the12th era I’ve properly experienced (Erotica onwards) and I’m finally so so excited. The effort she has put in with the visuals, the looks, the video’s is astounding and it’s great to finally see her deviate from the usual release roll out strategy. I don’t know what to expect tomorrow and I can’t wait for the moment leading up to taking that big deep breath and pressing play like all the times before. It’s taken so long and then all of a sudden it’s all happened so fast.
