same here. part of it, for me, is that it's not the kind of album you can just throw on while you're doing something like background pop music. there are a few tracks that you can do that with ("crazy," "crave," "i don't search if ind") but overall it demands that you pay attention. it's just not your average pop album.
You know what, your absolutely right. It’s not an easy listen despite its quality.

I love the album but for some reason it’s had no longevity for me. I played it daily every day for the first month then I was off to other sounds. It’s got nothing to do with the caliber of the album because it’s stellar bit usually when an M album comes out, I’m obsessed with it for months and know every word after a matter of weeks. I played albums like Erotica, Bedtime Stories, Ray of Light, Confessions and Rebel for months on end but it’s been different with Madame. It came at a very difficult time in my life. I do take my hat off to her tho for releasing the album she wanted to release and thumbing her nose at what’s commercial for once but I have to admit I never had a problem with commercial, trend chasing Madonna because I never saw it as trend chasing. I always found albums like Rebel Heart and Bedtime Stories to be incredibly authentic for example and those are the albums that have been criticised the most for trend chasing. Madame X is probably going to be regarded like Erotica in years to come, a masterpiece.

I never shower at the gym. I need the privacy of my own home and theres dirty men at the gym. So many " hot guy filmed in lockerroom" videos on the web.
Same! I’m totally grossed out by gym change rooms. There is absolutely nothing wrong with waiting until you get home to take a shower.

I love this song!!!

Dude, a lot of Madonna’s hardcore fans were disinterested in Hard Candy. She kind of has a point. It took me years to see the charm in HC and I’m as hardcore as you can get.

Oh the number of times complete narratives have been created based on nothing at all......like how MX was coming out Summer '18 and then when it didn't all hell broke loose......oh and the "secret" Nicki Minaj was speaking of at Met '18.....which I always thought was just a reference to M's "surprise" performance that night. Interesting now though that it's been suggested Nicki and M are no longer friends and some collab from her album was scrapped because M and Cardi B became acquainted. People dream up some shit now!
Oh my god you put into words, my exact feelings about all the bloody nonsense some go on about

You would think a little bit of subtle product placement would cover a measly 300 grand for a video if she doesn’t want to pay for it herself. She can be really cheap sometimes, it’s frustrating. If they are worried about return of investment wouldn’t the sales of the song on iTunes and streaming bring in at least 300 grand at a minimum?

I don’t think she’s ever sounded better...(well maybe the Evita soundtrack ha)

I hate to think how many times I’ve listened to this song, it’s like a drug. I’ve had entire days where I’ve just played this over and over and over.

This song elicits such strong reactions in people. It’s important to point out here that everyone is individual and unique and has their own tastes and value systems. I still absolutely love this song and think it’s one of the strongest tracks on the album. It’s no God Control but it’s still amazing to me.

She looked fantastic during the Sticky and Sweet Tour. I think people’s ill feelings towards her bod on that tour isn’t steeped in reality, it’s steeped in unflattering paparazzi photos from that era. I’m surrounded by fit women in the fitness industry so she looked perfectly normal to me. These comments come from people who have no idea what they are on about.

Best vocals on the entire album

He interviewed Christopher Ciccone back in the day and openly told him that he didn’t like her and found her cold. Chris actually defended her and said ‘there’s a lot of walls up.’

I demand tight choreo over the final refrains of ‘We’ve lost god control’ with those beats on tour

It’s too blurry to read

It’s one of the strongest songs on the album for me

It’s the first song so far that I really don’t like

Am I the only one that reeeally loves it? Out of so many tracks only 3 or 4 are trend-chasing, and Living For Love is her most underrated single ever, would’ve been a classic if it was released in the 90s. MDNA is the true stain in her discography, Rebel Heart is not.
Your not the only one. I reeeally love it too. Love the production, the speaker splitting anthemic vibe of Iconic, the beats on Holy Water and Living For Love, the industrial sounding Illuminati and the craziness of Bitch I’m Madonna. It’s far better than anything her peers released in that time period also, including the younger pop girls.

Can you buy it on iTunes?

It’s instantly become one of my favourite Madonna songs of her entire catalogue

Omg I think I’m in the middle of some sort of religious or out of body experience. I’ve just listened to God Control and Jesus Christ she has done it again. One of my favourite Madonna songs EVER!!! The ‘wake up wake up wake up’ bit is insane. I’ve still got the rest of the album to go, this is going to be a trip.

I feel like Come Alive is the centrepiece of the album.
