Sticky & Sweet then Re-Invention Tour.
Rebel Heart is a great tour but it almost ignores everything after the early 90s.
-
I think she is doing really good. Anything above 200M should be considered a huge success. The us dollar change in many countries is really affecting touring numbers. And she has been touring non stop since 2001.Right now with the confirmed dates I'm predicting:North America: $80MEurope: $60Asia: $40Oceania: $25Total: $205I also feel she will add 5-10 more dates. The show doesn't seem as demading as MDNA for her and there is room for something in April which is the last month of their contracts.Any confirmation that she is not doing SA for sure this time? There is a new arena in Buenos Aires which would be really great for this tour.

It goes something like this...Like a PrayerRay of Light--------------COADFEroticaMadonna--------------True BlueHard CandyRebel Heart <- hereMusicMDNAAmerican Life--------------Like a VirginBedtime StoriesMy main problem with RH is the edition, song order and that sometimes it's a little all over the place. Either she should have make it a real 2 cds album with the concepts Rebel and Heart or released a great 14 track version (the real standard one sucks for me)

Daft Punk too.

There are strong rumors she is going to end the tour again in Latin America after the Australia-Asia leg.

Just amazing! The cinematography, the costumes, the dancing, everything. And I love the ending.
-
"Iconic" or "Hold Tight". Then a ballad for third single (for now I choose "Ghosttown")
-
The album is amazing. Best since "Ray of Light" for me (and there are a lot of albums I love in between).
Iconic MUST be the second single.
-
Devil Pray is way better than anything in Hard Candy and MDNA (and I like both albums)

Love all 6 songs, but this one is AMAZING!!!

Could be. It really sounds NOTHING like Diplo's work. It's very 90's/ambient/house.
Did anyone else notice that Heartbreak City samples MJ's "They Don't Care About Us" ?
It sounds like a Jack U (Diplo & Skrillex) song without any dubstep.

Again, SPECTACULAR second show in Buenos Aires. She was in a great mood and physically much better than the last show. The only weird moment was at the end of celebration where I noticed Rocco stared at her for a moment intead of dancing and she looked like she was going to faint. Very weird indeed, maybe it was just me but I would like to see a video of that moment again.
The show was much better technically than the first one. The sound was PERFECT this time, and the choreography an everything else run perfectly. The only technical problem I noticed was that the little floor screens didn't work until "Vogue" (and the same one that didn't work in "I'm a Sinner" didn't work again). No changes in the first segment because of the Newton shooting that I noticed.
She gave a great speech about a "New World" and being one and respect the other for who they are. She performed DCFMA & Love Spent again, but they lost some of the magic and intensity of the first show. I'm still thinking about her crying and shouting during the first time she did those here.
Overall, another great experience and I love this tour 100x times better that S&S (and I really liked that one two). I hope after the tour ends she takes a looooooooooong vacation because I think I've never seen her this exhausted ever.
-
You know, now that you mention it, as soon as the song started i saw her and she was touching and pointing at one of her shoes! Right before DCFMA she mentioned that it was hard to dance with a broken shoe...
She was not ready when the screen opened for Vogue. She was touching one of her shoes and had the mask down. Also at the vogue rap part where the two females dancers do the great leg trick (with madonna grabing one of the girls foot), there was kind of a timing issue and they didn't do it all.
I know some might kill me for saying this but this was the only song that I liked better its S&S version that its MDNA one. Loved the customes in this one, but Vogue in S&S was pure fire.
-
Will post the videos tomorrow, she came on at 11.25 i think!
Yes, it was around that time. It ended at 01:15 AM. It must be some kind of record for her!
-
The stadium was sold out for sure but the VIP section was not as packed as in S&S (I got the feeling the VIP section was bigger than in 2008). I arrived late (around 8PM) and when the show started (after 11PM) I was already very close to the front of the triangle (and luckily I'm tall too) and people didn't push much at all.
-
If it's true she had a fever, I'm amazed she did the show at all.
During her speech before Masterpiece she made it explicit she was ill, that she had the flu and fever. It was pretty obvious at that moment since she coughed twice between songs and looked VERY tired. She even made a joke which I don't remember well but it was something like that after all the love when she visited Argentina in 2008 she was happy to return again and that it was not going to be the last time, or it could be, you never know (something like that, making even more explicit that she was feeling really shitty)
-
She cried a lot? When?
Masterpiece, Don't Cry For Me Argentina and Love Spent. She had a face though the whole show like she was about to cry or faint. She really looked physically and emotionally exhausted (but gave her best)
Only 3 Madonna Albums.
