Batuka is kinda underrated. It's not really catchy and doesn't feature a chorus in the traditional sense but it's a MOOD. The tribal beats are giving me life and MIrwais truly showed how versatile he is here. I adore it! (listen to it loud on headphones...at night...after 2 glasses of wine)

I can't wait for more detailed track by track reviews to appear (hopefully before the album drops/leaks)! Reading them drives up my adrenaline and is my favorite "waiting-for-the-album" activity.

That said, I‘m sure no member on here is actually hating on any country per se and the generalisations are done in jest. But yes, the German media has been nasty to Madonna for a long time now. They loved her during ROL and Confessions, but that’s about it. They would love her again if she would start singing Power of Goodbye‘s again but that’s not going to happen.
Let’s focus more on the positive reviews and skip all reviews which don’t even the discuss the songs. No clicks for them!

Fuck this shit! I couldn't wait any longer and caved in and listened.
YAAAAAASSSSSSS, my favourite song out of the 5 tracks we heard so far. I never liked the Beautiful Game bit at the MET Gala but I love it here. It's brave of her to put it as the second track on the album and I love the fact that she just did her thing here. Mirwais delivered (as expected) and I can't wait to hear what else they created.

That doesn’t work for me. It says I have to cancel my current premium membership first, then wait until the remaining days of my premium membership are over, then change it to a new country and then sign up for a new premium membership. Too much effort just to hear the songs a few hours before the rest of the world.

No reviewer in the above case actually thought the album was a half and half experience. One reviewer thought the album was completely shit and the other a compete masterpiece.
And if 60 is American Life’s score, then isn’t that what MX should aim for? Or 68 even since that’s my other favorite album Rebel Heart? And shouldn’t MX steer clear of the 90s score range?Cause I don’t want it sounding anything like Beyoncé.

Reading through the 4 star reviews I felt I was being jabbed with pins. And I asked myself why am I reading these? These are not reviews, they are hate crime.
As one very astute observer remarked earlier Madonna is a rock star who happens to sing pop. And these men don’t get her. So, that’s that.

The pics are fantastic, what a great idea! As for the article - it is definitely well written und mostly interesting but at the same time I was craving for more quotes from the actual interview. The way it is written it seems like the interview went on for 6 minutes only.

Wishful thinking. I think we all respect Madonna and her artistic choices but she and hear team would never think of compiling such a well thought-out compilation which includes hits and deep cuts. It’s sounds like a simple and great idea...in fact it sounds like the compilations I have been mixing for friends and colleagues for years already.

I think it’s funny when people complain that the verses are too repetitive or that the song doesn’t go anywhere. Isn‘t that what a chant is about? You cannot expect a catchy chorus in any tribal chants. That’s why I love it, it’s authentically bonkers and tribal and weird and doesn’t pretend to be a pop song in disguise.
My only gripe are M‘s vocals here. I believe this is the only time where M and Mirwais were wrong and should have kept her natural voice. But I will hopefully get used to it. The top notch production (I would say the best production on the album) keeps it very high in my list of favourites.
